Superman 2012 movie found its possible Jor-El with Russell Crowe. According to celebrity-gossip.net, actor Russell Crowe is currently in talks to play the biological father of Clark Kent aka Superman in the new Superman movie that’s due out in 2012.

They say that Variety first reported the news that Russell may land the new Jor-El acting gig. Russell is currently 47 years old,and my join other actors who have already signed on: Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Henry Cavill ,and Kevin Costner. ’2012′ movie is set to become a TV show, according to Zap2it. They report that the FX cable TV station has obtained the rights to a TV series based on the “2012″ movie,which brought in about $65 million dollars at the domestic box office,this past weekend.

The series’ preface will be set in the year 2013 because,apparently, the world doesn’t actually end in 2012.

FX also obtained the basic cable network rights to air the “2012″ movie on their network at the beginning of 2012. They also bought rights to air the movie, “Zombieland.”

’2012′ movie delivered excitement,anticipation & suspense. Columbia Pictures unleashed its world destruction movie on us all,this weekend. I just got back from seeing it,and I must say that I personally was not disappointed with it.

Some critics didn’t like it,but I thought it was a freakin blast to watch. The special effects,the plot,and the buildup ,all served their purpose well.

The movie focused on Jackson Curtis (John Cusack) who’s a limo driver and a father to two kids that are living with his ex-wife and her surgeon boyfriend. And apparently,he had also written a book.

They all eventually came together as one united family when Jackson finds out the world is about to end, from a eccentric loony named Charlie Frost (Woody Harrelson). Read the rest of this entry »

Top movie critics gave ’2012′ movie some pretty mixed reviews. Columbia Pictures’ new epic,world destruction film, “2012″ hit theaters today,and reviews from top movie critics equal out to be pretty mixed up for this movie. I guess it’s all about personal taste with this one

A couple of them threw in some Bs a few Cs,along with a couple of dreaded Ds. However,none of them gave it an A.

Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times gave it a B+. He said, “The movie gives you your money’s worth. Is it a masterpiece? No.”

Matt Pais of the Chicago Tribune gave it a C-. He stated, “The technology’s new and improved, but nothing else is.”

Lisa Schwarzbaum from Entertainment Weekly gave it a B rating. She said, “I enjoyed the nerve-racking silliness of this newest, loudest exercise in destruction.” Read the rest of this entry »

’2012′ movie releases new special effects featurette trailer. Columbia Pictures has released a new “behind the scenes,” special effects featurette (below) for it’s “2012″ movie that’s coming out this weekend.

The movie stars: John Cusack, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Amanda Peet, Oliver Platt, Thandie Newton, Danny Glover, and Woody Harrelson.

This clip covers the Yellowstone corruption. They start off showing a few scenes from the movie. Then, it cuts to behind-the-scenes commentary from producers and directors who worked on the film.
