At the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, MTV news spoke with “Superbad” star Jonah Hill about his upcoming “21 Jump Street” remake. He acknowledged the fact that a lot of people on the internet didn’t like the idea, but he wanted to explain more indept as to what the concept of the movie would be about.
He explains that he wants to make “21 Jump Street” a comedy that’s also an action movie. And that the plot would be that these undercover cops go back to highschool and, when they would get to caught up in the highschool aspect of the job as opposed to the police work, then the police work would come in and interrupt the fun.

The extremely funny star of the 2007 hit comedy, “Superbad” movie, Jonah Hill has been given the control by Sony Pictures to remake the classic “21 Jump Street” film. It was originally a tv show back in the 80’s that starred actors, Johnny Depp and Holly Robinson. Jonah is going to be writing and producing the “21 Jump Street” remake. He said that his version is going to take a more comedic tone, but it won’t be strictly comedic. They’re also doing a full on action movie with a lot of blowin sh** up.
My sources say that he was approached by Sony Pictures because they wanted a funny take on “21 Jump Street” so Jonah has decided to make an R-rated,insane ,Bad Boys meets John Hughes type of movie.
