A new “Nightmare on Elmstreet” remake is in the works.Producers, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form hope to start filming it in the spring of 2009 and have it released sometime in 2010. Fuller and Form said that it was the excellent response from the recent “Friday the 13th” remake which they also produced that gave the Elmstreet remake the greenlight by Warner Bros. and New Line Cinemas. They’ve apparently been test screening the new “Jason Voorhees”film and it has been going well.

The producers said they want to make the “Elmstreet” remake even darker. No more cracking jokes like in the past. They just want to make it straight up scary.
