“In Touch Weekly” reports that American Idol’s latest judge Kara DioGuardi has married her fiancee Mike McCuddy in Prospect Harbor,Maine. The ceremony took place in the United Methodist Church in front of a little over 30 guests.
Apparently Kara has a home in Prospect Harbor and it is where she met her husband. He was a contractor who was working on a home next to hers. McCuddy also has a young daughter so that will make Kara a new stepmom. The two started their honeymoon today.
Kara DioGuardi became the fourth “American Idol” for their 8th Season, and after much speculation as to if she would return for the 9th season, she did end up signing another contract to be on the 9th season show.

According to reports from NY daily news, The cruel and brutally honest,English judge Simon Cowell could make up to $144 million to do the upcoming season 9 of “American Idol”. They said he was already making $36 million from the show which is already plenty enough, but now Fox is offering him a reported three to four times more than that amount this year.
I say kudos to him. Somebody’s got to rake in all the cash, right ? Simon also has stake in other shows like Britain’s Got Talent” and “The X-Factor”.

According to reports thousands of people showed up for their shot to be on “American Idol” at the Dallas Cowboys brand new stadium. The registration began two days ago Thursday June 25,2009. The contestants stood outside in 100 + degree weather while waiting outside of the Dallas Cowboys stadium, to get a chance to tryout.
This is actually just the first round of the audition process. If a contestant makes it through this round, they’ll have to get through a couple more rounds before they’re able to actually perform in front of Paula,Randy,Simon, and Kara. I find this to be a very interesting fact because some of the contestants I’ve seen perform in front of them, I wouldn’t think could make it past an elementary school talent show.

In reports from my sources, all four of the “American Idol” judges: Simon Cowell,Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson, and the new comer Kara DioGuardi will be returning for the upcoming 9th season of “American Idol”. There had been some speculation if they would all return.
Paula had stated in an interview that she was unsure when asked, stating it was pending negotiations. And Kara DioGuardi had only signed a one year 8th season contract, and it was unsure if it would be renewed. Also having four judges slowed down the show’s running time last season which lead to some more uncertainty for Kara DioGuardi’s future on the show.

According to reports, Allison Iraheta has signed with “19 recordings”, and Jive records will get the license to her recordings. Allison Iraheta made it to the top 4 of “American Idol’s” 8th season ,and is the youngest at age 16 to make it into the show’s top 12. She was a favorite of such stars as Miley Cyrus while competing. Earlier in the season, the new judge Kara DioGuardi said, “Keep your eye on that girl”. She had a very strong, powerful voice especially for someone her age. She almost reminded me of Kelly Clarkson at times with that powerful voice.
She made the following statement to Access Hollywood about her new record deal. ““I think I’m still in shock that this is happening. Getting to record my first album and this whole awesome experience is a dream come true!â€

According to recent reports, Paula Abdul who has been a judge on “American Idol” since it’s inception, stated on the “Late Show with David Letterman” that she is still not quite sure if she’ll be returning to show. She said, “I love my job. I do. I feel that I’ve had a really wonderful journey with the show. It’s called ‘negotiating.’ ”
According to that statement,it sounds as if she may be asking for more money because I’m pretty sure they would be willing to pay her the same amount that she’s been paid in the past, but with this rotten economy, that may not be true either.

There are reports out stating that AT&T who are one of the biggest sponsors of “American Idol” may have swayed the vote in Kris Allen’s favor last week by providing phones for free text messaging services and lessons in casting blocks of votes at parties organized by fans of Kris Allen. AT&T provided the phones at two parties in Arkansas after the final performance of “American Idol” last week.
Fox says that it isn’t possible even with that news, that Adam Lambert would have one. They made the following statement, “Fox and the producers of ‘American Idol’ are absolutely certain that the results of this competition are fair, accurate and verified. Kris Allen is, without a doubt, the American Idol. We have an independent third-party monitoring procedure in place to insure the integrity of the voting process. In no way did any individuals unfairly influence the outcome of the competition.â€

At approximately 9:02 pm central time,May 20,2009, Kris Allen was crowned the new “American Idol” 2009 Champion. It was a star filled night with performances from Lionel Richie,Fergie, the Black Eyed Peas,David Cook,Cyndi Lauper,Queen Latifah, and more. Also there was a great little segment which brought the bikini girl back to perform ,but at the time she was singing, Kara Dioguardi interrupted her,and started outsinging her of course. Then, to cap off that little performance she unbuttoned her dress to reveal herself in a bikini as well. I must say Kara has a great Bod. That was highlight of the night if you ask me.
We of course also saw all the American Idol finalist return to perform some of the cheesiest songs on the planet. I swear I could barely sit through it. All in All,though it was a pretty fun and entertaining show as they looked back at some of the more rememberable moments this season from the funny audition rounds. And,again to cap off the night with suspense, they announced Kris Allen as the 8th “American Idol” champion over Adam Lambert.

On the final three elimination show, we saw Alisha Keys make an appearance. She didn’t perform, but she introduced a performance from some African kid which I could barely sit through. I wish she would have performed, what a waste. They did however, show performances from Katy Perry, and past “American Idol” winner, Jordan Sparks.
In between the performances, Ryan spoke to each of the three finalist individually and watched clips of them visiting their hometown for the first time since being on “American Idol”. First it was Danny. Then Kris, and last but not least,Adam. They showed footage of how everyone in their hometown is drooling over them now. Finally to cap off the show, of course. Ryan announced who would be the final two. Earlier he announced that Kris Allen was safe. Then at the conclusion , he announced that Adam Lambert had made it through, leaving Danny Gokey the odd man out.

On “American Idol” final four elimination night (5-6-09),the show started with a performance from the contestants. Then we got to see Paula Abdul perform for the first time, live on “American Idol”,and for the first time in a very long time, period. I must say it was pretty good, and the song wasn’t half bad. I absolutely loved the choreography. She performed her new single entitled, “I’m Just (Here for the Music)â€off her new album to be released this fall.
Kris Allen was the first one to find out that he was safe this week. After that we saw performances from “No Doubt” and “Daughtry”. No Doubt performed one of their old hits, “I’m Just A Girl”, and Daughtry performed their new single,“No Surprise†from their second album to be released in July 2009.
