Twilight’s Nikki Reed dating American Idol’s Paul McDonald. According to Fablife, Twilight Saga,Rosalie Hale star is reportedly dating Paul Mcdonald who is one of the contestants on the current season of Fox’s hit show “American Idol.”

They say that the two stars met at the movie premiere for “Red Riding Hood” earlier last month. Paul was there with the other American Idol contestants,and Nikki was there to support the original “Twilight” director Catherine Hardwicke as she directed the “Red Riding Hood” flick. Ashton Jones eliminated from ‘American Idol 10′ tonight in round 1. Tonight’s live elimination show kicked off with Ryan introducing the judges. Then he introduced the final 13 contestants. Next, they showed video footage of the contestants moving into their Beverly Hills mansion. After that,the contestants sang a couple of Michael Jackson songs.

After the break, they showed the Idol contestant’s Ford music video commercial. Then Ryan talked with Amanda Seyfried who is the star of the new “Red Riding Hood” movie. Fantasia Barrino overdosed on aspirin and sleep aid the other night. According to TMZ, former American Idol champ Fantasia Barrino overdosed on a combination of aspirin and sleep aid two nights ago. They say that her manager confirmed the news.

Her representative released a statement saying Fantasia ingested the medication after feeling overwhelmed by the lawsuit and the media attention surrounding her relationship with her on again,off aagain boyfriend Antwaun Cook who is also married. The statement went on to say that Fantasia was hospitalized after she took an overdose of aspirin and sleep aid. Her injuries are not life threatening. She was dehydrated and exhausted at the time. Ellen DeGeneres said she quit American Idol yesterday. According to TMZ, popular daytime talk show host and one of American Idol season 9 judges Ellen DeGeneres, said that she quit the show yesterday after being on there for just one season. They say that she’s claiming it wasn’t the right fit. She took to her “Twitter” account to make the announcement. She wrote, “Dim the lights. I’ve voted myself off American Idol.”

Ellen says that she came to her decision a couple of months ago. She stated, “It was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. I am very grateful for the year I had. I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be.” Read the rest of this entry »

Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler to replace Ellen on American Idol. According to TMZ, Aerosmith lead singer, Steven Tyler is currently expected to fill the spot to replace Simon on “American Idol.” They say that hours after the Kara DioGuardi spot opened up, Steven was already in Hollywood taking questions about replacing Ellen DeGeneres on “American Idol.”

As previously reported, Kara DioGuardi was fired from “American Idol” yesterday afternoon. Their sources say that American Idol is going back to the three-judge format,and the new panel will consist of Randy Jackson,Jennifer Lopez,and Steven Tyler. Kara DioGuardi got fired from American Idol. According to TMZ, singer/songwriter, “American Idol” judge Kara DioGuardi has been fired from the show for it’s upcoming 10th season. They say that sources connected with the “American Idol” negotiations,say that Kara has judged her last contestant because she has indeed been fired.

The show will be going back to the three-judge format,and if all current deals are finalized, the new judge’s panel will consist of Randy Jackson,Jennifer Lopez,and Steven Tyler. P Ditty looking to replace Simon Cowell On ‘American Idol.’ According to Starzlife , Hip-hop star and music mogul Sean Combs aka P Ditty is currently vying to replace to replace Simon Cowell on Fox’s “American Idol” reality talent show. I actually think he would be a great fit. From watching him on MTV’s “Making The Band,” he definitely knows how to be mean,and he’s launched a ton of new artists in the past.

Here’s the thing, P Ditty wants to make the same amount of money that Simon was making or else he won’t do it. He was really impressed with the figures that Simon was pulling in from the show. Lady Gaga lit up “American Idol” stage with ‘Alejandro’ performance. Chart-topping singer Lady Gaga took to the “American Idol” stage last night to perform her passionate song entitled, “Alejandro”. In the clip (below), she started off pretty low-key by playing the piano as she started singing the first verse of the song, “Bad Romance.” Then she got up from the piano to perform a very entertaining “Alejandro” performance. She started off saying, “But I just can’t be with you like this anymore, Alejandro.” I thought it was pretty amusing. She also revealed that she was wearing a very sexy outfit. Didi Benami got eliminated from “American Idol” 9 in round 6 tonight. Ryan Seacrest kicked off the show by introducing the judges and contestants. Then “American Idol” season 2 winner Ruben Studdard performed his new song entitled, ” Don’t Make ‘Em Like U No More.” Afterwards, he talked with Ryan for a little bit to lead into the first break. After the first break, they showed another Ford music video that the “American Idol” contestants made.
