‘Daybreakers’ movie delivered an interesting,action filled vampire story. Lionsgate released their new vampire horror flick this weekend entitled, “Daybreakers.” I just got done watching it,and was pleasantly surprised at how interesting the story was,and all the intense action scenes the movie delivered. It was definitely way better than I thought it would be. It stars: Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe, Claudia Karvan, Michael Dorman, Vince Colosimo, Isabel Lucas,and Sam Neill.

“Daybreakers” revolved around good vampire, Edward Dalton who was turned by his brother,but not by his own free will. The setting of the movie, was that the population had been taken over by vampires and they were running out of human blood. Edward’s was one of the main doctors trying to create a blood replacement,but through unforeseen circumstances, he eventually teams up with a couple of the only few humans left,and they lead him to finding a cure. Top movie critics give ‘Daybreakers’ movie very good reviews. Lionsgate’s new horror flick, “Daybreakers” hit theaters today,and the top movie critics in the biz have given it the proverbial “thumbs up” with some very good reviews. It got four Bs and only two Cs. It stars: Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe, Claudia Karvan, Michael Dorman, Vince Colosimo, Isabel Lucas, and Sam Neill.

Wesley Morris from the Boston Globe gave it a B. He said, “Daybreakers,’’ which is written and directed by the twin brothers Michael and Peter Spierig, has unexpected flashes of brilliance. It’s been shot and staged with unusual patience. All the scenes hang together.”

Roger Ebert over at the Chicago Sun-Times gave it a B- rating. He stated, ” This intriguing premise, alas, ends as so many movies do these days, with fierce fights and bloodshed. Inevitably, the future of the planet will be settled among the handful of characters we’ve met, and a lot of extras with machineguns.” Read the rest of this entry »

2nd ‘Daybreakers’ movie trailer features more bloodsucking, action clips. Lionsgate has released a second movie trailer (below) for their new action/horror flick, “Daybreakers.” It stars : Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe, Claudia Karvan, Michael Dorman, Vince Colosimo, Isabel Lucas, and Sam Neill.
