Fame ,the popular 1980 musical movie is making a 2009 return to the big screen. September 25,2009 to be exact. It will star : Debbie Allen, Charles S. Dutton, Kelsey Grammer, Megan Mullally, Bebe Neuwirth, Thomas Dekker, Kristy Flores, Paul Iacono, Paul McGill, Naturi Naughton, Kay Panabaker, Kherington Payne, Collins Pennie, Walter Perez, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle. Similar to the oscar winning original,the movie will track the failures and fortunes of ambitious talented young performers and their teachers as they attend a school year at the prestigious High School for the Performing Arts.

Debbie Allen,Charles S. Dutton,Kelsey Grammer,Megan Mullally,and Bebe Neuwirth are hired to play teachers in the film by Lakeshore and MGM. Dutton will play an acting teacher. Grammer play the part of orchestra maestro. Mullally will play a voice instructor. Neuwirth will play the school’s dance instructor. Debbie Allen who was in the original 1980 film and then the 1982 tv show will play the school’s principle after she gets a promotion.

I never saw the original movie,but I used to watch the tv show when I was in elementary school while eating granola bars. Man,those were the good ole days,lol!! Anyways,I’m not a fan of musicals but if they add some “Hip Hop” stuff in this film I might go check it out. I knew they wouldn’t do that in “High School Musical” so I steared clear.
