EW reports that Evan Rachel Wood will be making her debut August 30 on HBO’s “True Blood” as Louisiana’s blood sucker boss lady Queen Sophia-Ann. Alan Ball the creator of the series says, “Nobody’s ever entirely happy to see her character, Louisiana’s blood-sucker boss lady, Queen Sophie-Ann. She’s very powerful, capricious and most likely insane.”

She will also have a couple of agendas to fulfill, according to the creator. Alan stated, “She has more than one secret agenda, which we will slowly become aware of over season 3.

Evan Rachel Wood has also been seen in “CSI :Crime Scene Investigation” where she played Nora Easton.

“True Blood” airs Sunday Nights on HBO at 9pm.

The sexy, female, r&b artist Ashanti is back with the third single off of her latest album, “The Declaration” which was released on June 3,2008,and is her fourth studio album. I think that the “Good Good”, single is very good and it features a cameo by rap / hip hop artists “Nelly” who plays her husband. The song is about her having everything her man needs so she doesn’t have to worry about him straying because she’s got that good-good.

I do like the lyrics to the song,and they kind of make me laugh because they do speak from a very very secure state of mind almost to the point of arrogance,but hey if you got that good-good. You got it. The video shows a more than usual sexy Ashanti that I’m not used to seeing from her. I always new she was sexy,but she reveals it alot more in this video. The song and the beat sounds really good with a light r&b / hip hop feel to it,and a nice good-good chorus. The song got as high as #30 on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart. Ashanti is now with the legendary “Motown” Records label. She started out with the DEF JAM record label earlier on in her career.

Here is the cool looking teaser poster for another upcoming super hero movie entitled, “Witchblade”. There is no information on the actors for the film as of yet.The film started shooting back in September of 2008. Some say it should be out some time this year while others say it has a 2010 release scheduled. Whatever the date is, I’ll be there because I love super hero movies. I saw the tv series back in the day when it aired for a short time,and it was just ok for me. I expect them to do alot more with a big screen movie for it though.

The Plot / Synopsis :Based on the Witchblade comic book series.Sara Pezzini is one of a specially chosen females from each generation is to wear a special ornate, jewel encrusted ,right-handed gauntlet which gives the wearer supernatural powers.It can only be worn by a female host.The witchblade can shoot energy blasts,fire projectile darts,and whip-like grapples to either attack or climb stuff. It also possess alot of other powers.

Ludacris has a new,funny song out called “One More Drink”. It also features hip hop artist,T-Pain. They teamed up recently on T-Pain’s album with a song called, “Chopped N Screwed” which I previously posted on here. They make a pretty good team as this song is no let down. I absolutely love it,and it’s funny as hell.It talks about having to many drinks and dating at the same time which leads you ending up with somebody you might not want to see the next morning.

“One More Drink” is off Luda’s current album entitled, “Theater Of The Mind” which was released on November 24,2008. It has about 14 tracks on it,and is apart of the DEF JAM Record Label. I’ve only heard this song so far,but plan to check out the rest of the album.

The beat is very moving,and makes me wanna get up and dance,and as always Ludacris’ lyrics are funny and dead on point.Also capped off with a great chorus.”One More Drink” is a winner with me. Take a listen for yourself by watching the video below.

Ok, I’ve got some more Robin Thicke music for you.I had to do this piece because this is like my favorite song now. It’s called, “Wanna Love You Girl” and it features Pharrell from the “Neptunes”.It’s crazy because I just discovered this song a couple of weeks ago,but apparently it came out like a year or so ago on his older album,”The Evolution of Robin Thicke” which was released on February 9,2007. I love this song because it combines the smooth hip hop beats of the ” Neptunes” with the stylish,original singing of Robin Thicke. The video is kind of orignal as well. It makes me feel like I want to be on an island or somethin.

Another good song on this album is,”Lost Without You” which I heard when it first came out. At the time I just never got a chance to review the whole album which is unfortunate because this song “Wanna Love You Girl” is a real gem in my opinion. It’s my new Myspace song. Woo,hoo ! The song starts out with a real good,funky,and unique pop beat. Then Robin chimes in with the verse that has a real original sound to it. The chorus is solid,and the flow of the whole song is really upbeat and dancable which is just the way I like it.Pharrell does a rap verse towards the end which complements the song quite nicely. It’s one of the most unique sounding songs I’ve heard in a while.

“Yes Man” won box office honors this week with $18.2 million in sales over the three day weekend beating out Will Smith’s “Seven Pounds” which came in at a slim $16 million. One of Will’s worst openings in seven years. The Warner Bros released film, “Yes Man” cost about $70 million to make so they hope to make the money back in the following weeks. They blame holiday distractions and bad weather for it not doing more than it did.

The Film is about, Carl (Jim Carrey) a loan officer who is depressed and has issues ever since divorcing his wife three years prior,and says “No” to all opportunities presented to him. Then one day he goes to a self help seminar in which the technique taught is to say “Yes” to every opportunity that come his way. It works out ok for a while ,but then he soon relizes the pitfalls associated with this new found technique and that he must adjust it a bit in order to make things right. This was Carrey’s best performance since, “Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events” which opened up at $30 million and eventually made 118.6 million in the United States.

I personally enjoyed the film. It was funny as hell. Some critics say it was similar to his 1997 film, “Liar,Liar” where he has to always tell the truth. Although I do agree with that analogy, it doesn’t stop this film from being entertaining,and funny to the point of laughing out my seat. So I say, “Yes” to “Yes Man”. You can read my review here.

The people over at Warner Bros have set a date for the release of their new film, Sherlock Holmes starring Robert Downey Jr. as the classic,clever dectective. The film will be in theaters next November. November 20,2009 to be exact. Well, that’s the exact release date for now anyways. The movie will also have co stars Jude Law as Dr. John Watson and Rachel McAdams as Irene Alder. I personally look forward to seeing any Robert Downey Jr. movie these days.After seeing him play Iron Man I was thoroughly impressed.

This 7th episode of season 6 “One Tree Hill” starts off with Peyton having a dream about her and Lucas making room for their own space and Lucas saying that Brooke is hot in that magazine she’s reading. Then she wakes up.Then we see that Sam, Brooke’s live in teenager comes home late and Brooke starts to see that this isn’t going to be so easy.Mouth lets Phylison know thet he’s back with a wake up kiss.Nathan’s playing that “Slamball” again.Next, we start to see that Lucas and Peyton don’t know each other as well as they thought. Little Jamie gets in a fight at school with a kid that makes fun of him for wearing Quinton’s cape.Sam starts stealing Brooke’s things and sneaking out of her bedroom window. Lucas and Peyton start to point out things they don’t like that the other one does ,but it’s all light hearted.Haley meets a street singer who’s a huge fan of her music.Mouth gets his old job back quite easily and with a few extra perks much to his surprise because of the success that he had in Omaha.

Then ,we see a scene where apparently Lucas couldn’t get it up in bed do to the fact of being kinda creeped out about doing it in his mom’s old bed.Peyton teases him. Brooke calls her old bartender boyfriend a jerk because he bailed on her in the past when she wanted to become a mother by adopting. Next ,we see Lucas drawing a line through the house and calling it his space to prove to Peyton that an article in a magazine she’s reading is stupid. Again, it’s all very light hearted. Then we see Haley attempting to talk to the mom of the boy that teased Jamie at school only to find out that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree as she is a complete bitch and they start catfighting (lol!! I loved it). Nathan teases her about it and says that it’s hot that she’s a badass.Lucas and Payton continue on with their comical space hoarding routine. Nathan gets Brooke to make a whole bunch of capes because he goes to Jamie’s school wearing a cape . He proceeds to slam the ball a couple of times in front of Jamie’s friends,and then gives all credit to the cape he’s wearing. Then points to the box with all the capes in it and the kids all rush to get one of there own which of course solves Jamie’s little cape teasing problem.Oh,yeah and they bring back Mouth’s silly girlfriend from highschool,Jeejee and it turns out she’s kind of a freak to. Brooke tells Sam she can’t help her anymore. Brooke eventually goes back to get Sam to move back in with her but explains that there are rules to follow. She agrees.Brooke and her old bartender boyfriend sorta make up. Lucas and Peyton end the space fued. Dan semi threatens the kid’s mom that made fun of Jamie. Haley starts singing with that street singer that really likes her music. It ends with a cute little scene of Jamie at the playground saying that he’s a leader not a follower.

Next week starts to really heat up with Mouth’s ex, Jeejee,Nathan and his dangerous “Slamball” career(I knew it was just a matter of time.),and Sam,Brooke’s teenage live in.

This 7th episode of season 2 “Gossip Girl” starts with Serena joining her existing and new family(the Basses) for dinner and they go over some new guidelines or rules which Serena greatly disagrees with.Next we see Vanessa chatting with Dan about petitioning to save a building(her resturant where she works) from being torn down. Chuck is upset that Dan and Nate are becoming buddys and tells them to cut it out already.Vanessa tries to take on a new role of blackmailing by making Blair get a thousand signatures in six hour or she’ll spread around some pictures she got of Blair’s ex, Marcus kissing the dutchess, Kathryn. Blair at first doesn’t think she would stoop that low,but then Vanessa makes sure that Blair knows that well maybe she should.Meanwhile Chuck reveals to Serena that the only reason why they have these new family rules is because his dad, Bart wants to impress some business people. Serena then takes that as an excuss to act up, and I must say she is very good at it.

Next we see Blair starting to plan her plot with Chuck to get back at Vanessa for blackmailing her. The plan is for Chuck to seduce Vanessa and then humiliate her in the end. Now, we see Serena and Blair having lunch and then Eric shows up with his new boyfriend, Jonathan. Chuck begins his attempts at charming Vanessa by offering to buy the resturant building she’s trying to save. It’s a failed attempt for now since Vanessa doesn’t trust him.Dan finds out that his used to be rich friend, Nate is now poor when he attempts to stop by his house by mistake when Nate wasn’t there. Chuck decides he wants to back out of the Blair plan to get back at Vanessa because there’s not enough in it for him,but then Blair offers to sleep with him if he follows through with it and succeeds at humiliating her. Chuck agrees and the deal is back on. Vanessa comes back to talk to Chuck because after a second look at his business proposal she finds that it’s ligit,but she still doesn’t quite trust him yet . Dan invites Nate to Dinner. Chuck ,after meeting and hitting it off with the owner of the building Vanessa is trying to save starts to convince her that meybe he is for real and is being a good boy now. Chuck invites Vanessa to a housewarming party that his dad is throwing. We find out that Chuck’s father didn’t know that Chuck was buying the building and is now very unhappy after finding out and is not going to allow it.

Dan ends up telling Nate at dinner that he saw his house and the seizure notices. Nate gets upset about it and tells them he has to go. Serena ends up showing out at Bart’s dinner party and spilling dirty laundry about their family’s past to the press that’s there(it’s very entertaining). Blair starts to get upset after seeing Chuck show some real effection for Vanessa and wants to call it quits.So then Blair somehow finds Vanessa’s purse and deletes the unwanted pictures of Blair’s ex. She proceeds to let Vanessa know about it and also about the deal she made with Chuck to humiliate her. We can see that Chuck kind of felt bad about it but he’s just in to deep at this point. Serena after leaving the party runs into Dan and they end up talking and apologizing to each other over the bad things that have happened. Chuck ends up going back to that resturant to tell them that he is still going to try and help save it but the owner is really pissed at him. Then we see that Dan and Nate have made up and he agrees to stay at Dan’s since his place isn’t so great anymore. Now, we cut back to Chuck and Blair getting ready to seal their deal buy sleeping together, but Chuck all of a sudden has a change of heart when he asks Blair to say, I love you and she can’t. He proceeds to tell her that she can never have him unless she can. It appears that in this tangled weave Vanessa had some effect on him. Very interesting. Well, that’s it for this week. It’s confirmed from the people over at nme.com that Eminem will be releasing his sixth album entitled “Relapse”which is produced by Dr. Dre. It is a follow up to his in my opinion much left to be desired 2004 album “Encore”. Don’t get me wrong. I’m still a fan. I just didn’t really care to much for that album in particular. It seemed like every song sounded the same and the only one I liked was “Just Loose It”. He announced the release of his new album on his Sirius satelite radio show – Shade 45 on October 15,2008 .I personally look forward to hearing his new material and very much hope that it sounds better than his last album did.
