The Fox “Glee” cast got filmed singing the National Anthem at the world series last night in Philadelphia. They got to start off the game by singing the National Anthem,after a rain delay. The performance (below) is about 2 minutes long.
The announcer came on and said the cast members of the Fox hit TV show “Glee” will sing the National Anthem. Amber Riley who plays Mercedes Jones on the show lead it off with her big voice. Then, after about a minute into it, the rest of the cast joined in to sing the background vocals. I thought they did a great job.
Fox Glee’s Matthew Morrison is set to make a Justin Timberlake style solo album. Matthew Morrison plays the Glee Club music teacher, Will Schuester on Fox’s new hit show, “Glee”.
He recently gave an interview to Access Hollywood,and talked about how he will soon be working on his own solo album. He stated, “Right now, I’ve almost finalized a record deal and am going to be working on an album.”
Then, he talked about how his new album is going to be like a classier Justin Timberlake style album. He said, “It’s going to be different. I would consider it a classier Justin Timberlake album,” he revealed. “It’s going to be me and a big orchestra, but also with beats.”
Ariana Debose & Brandon Dumlao got eliminated from “So You Think You Can Dance” in week1 of season 6,tonight.The show started off with an introduction to of the top 20 dancers for the first show of season 6.
Then Kat Deeley announced that the judges are going to choose which contestants get cut from the show tonight. Next, she introduced the judges. They talked a little bit about Billy Bell’s exit. Also Noel hurt her knee so she couldn’t dance tonight. They said if she can’t make it back next week,she’ll also have to leave the competition.
Channing Cooke got paired with Phillip Attmore. They performed to the Jackson 5 “Rockin Robin” song. The judges said it was fairly good,but needed a little bit more chemistry.
Billy Bell drops out of Fox “So You Think You Can Dance” show due to an unspecified illness,according to various sources. They report that the 19 yr old Billy Bell will be replaced by 21 yr old hip hop dancer, Brandon Dumlao.
The executive producer/judge, Nigel Lythgoe said that he’s disappointed that Billy couldn’t continue on,by advice from his doctor,but is fortunate that Brandon Dumlao agreed to come back.
He stated, “We are disappointed that Billy cannot continue dancing in the competition on the advice of his doctor and wish him a speedy recovery.However, we are fortunate that Brandon Dumlao has agreed to return.”
Fox “Glee” is set to release two new music albums in November and December,according to Access Hollywood. They report that the albums will feature numerous songs from the show,and will be entitled, “Glee: The Music” volumes 1 and 2.
They will also be releasing a new Christmas single,a cover of Wham!’s “Last Christmas,” which doesn’t appear on the show. They also report that the cast is planning to do a tour in the summer of 2010.
Also some of the stars of “Glee” are going to be putting out solo albums. Show writer, Ryan Murphy stated, “Lea Michele has tried different songs and already thought, ‘Maybe I like doing rock. Her album is not going to be Broadway stuff. She’ll sit with producers and come up with her own concept.”
“So You Think You Can Dance” finds its top 20 dancers for season 6. Last night on “So You Think You Can Dance,” they showed footage of the emotional moments of the dancers who made it into the top 20,and also the dancers who didn’t quite make it.
They also fooled us with some of their bits for revealing who made it,and who didn’t. It was pretty entertaining.
Noah says Finn isn’t Quinn’s Baby Daddy and more in “Glee” episode 9 season 1. The show is entitled, “Wheels,” and we’ve got a few spoilers for the show,along with a promo clip,after the jump.
In “Wheels,” Will will encourage the Glee Club kids to support Artie,and will ask each of them to perform in a wheelchair. Kurt and Rachel will compete for a big solo. Will also has the Glee Club members pick ballets to sing to their partners that they’re partnered up with.
Will Schuester,the Glee club teacher will rap and dance to Young MC’s “Bust A Move” song on Fox “Glee” this week,in episode 8. It’s entitled “Mash-Up,”and we’ve got the two minute clip for it,after the jump. Will does a great job, I must say. I didn’t know he had it in him.
The clip starts with Rachel,saying, that she is shocked by the lack of ambition from the males in the room. Then Will says it’s ok, because he’s about to show them how it’s done. He takes off his collar shirt.
From the looks of the new promo, Sue is going to surprisingly fall in love,in episode 8 of FOX “Glee” premiere season. The episode is entitled “Mash-Up,” and we have a few more spoilers for the show,along with a promo clip, after the jump.
In “Mash-Up,” McKinley High’s cool kids like Finn and Quinn will be on the outs in an “icy” fashion. They will now end up seeking advice on how to be cool from Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays),which ends in them wearing sunglasses.
The cast of Fox “Glee” has been dumped by the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for this year, according to recent reports.TMZ reported that Macy’s had originally invited the “Glee” cast,but then their rival NBC network who airs the parade found out about it,and told Macy’s to pull them from the parade. There has been no comment on it from the network as of yet. But,wow that is very interesting.
The cast of “Glee” have recently made the show a hit for Fox. It focuses around high school kids that are in a high school choir that is called the glee club. It stars : Lea Michele, Jane Lynch, Jayma Mays and Kevin McHale. It airs Wednesday nights at 8pm central time on Fox.
