According to a new report from The Wrap, CW's hit drama Gossip Girl may finally see it's last season in season 6. If that weren't enough bad news,the season may get cut in half due to low ratings. Currently,a spokesman for the network said, CW has not yet made a decision about picking up any of its scripted shows for next year. However,given Gossip Girl's low ratings,it's seen as perpetually being on the bubble. "Gossip Girl" only averaged 1.7 million viewers, and a 1.9 rating in the women 18-34 demo, this year. That's a huge dip down from the 2.35 million viewers the show averaged in its first season. However,the network will benefit more by keeping the show going since all its stars Blake Lively, Ed Westwick, Chace Crawford, and Leighton Meester, are under contract for another season,meaning it would potentially be a costly ordeal of re-negotiating salaries.
