According to Access Hollywood, “Harry Potter” movie star, Emma Watson is really fitting in well in her first week of college. Emma plays Hermione Granger in the “Harry Potter” movie series.

They report that she stated on her blog, “I’ve finally arrived at Brown University and I’m having the most amazing time.I’m still so excited to be here; I’ve already met so many incredible people.”

Hermione is currently majoring in literature,and she said she is looking forward to starting classes. She stated, “I’m over my jet lag and I just want classes to start!!”

She also said that she didn’t make a star-like appearance to the Brown campus,by arriving in a helicopter. She stated, “Contrary to the reports you may have read, I didn’t arrive by helicopter. I’ve only been in one once when I was little and I was terrified,Now back to my studies!”

Judge Timothy Workman decided to sentence Harry Potter actor Jamie Waylett to just 120 hours of community service for growing marijuana plants in his mother’s house.

The judge accepted that the marijuana charge which usually carries a 14 year sentence, was for Waylett’s use only,and was not meant to be sold out on a large scale.

Jamie Waylett is 20 years old. He plays the bully Vincent Crabbe in all six of the “Harry Potter” films,and pleaded guilty to the charge of growing marijuana last week. He had apparently been growing 10 plants of the stuff in his bedroom.

The judge made a statement saying that Waylett had been “Until now, a man of good character”, which I’m guessing is the reason for the leniency.

The sixth installment of the Harry Potter franchise “Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince” finally premiered this past Wednesday July 15,2009. I went ,and checked out the movie today July 18,2009. For me, the movie was ok. I’ve certainly seen a lot more action in previous Harry Potter flicks. This one was more about Harry and Dumbledore trying to find out the secrets of Voldemort’s powers,and how he is able to keep on living.

A brief plot of the film reveals that Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) is reunited with his best friends Ron Weasely (Rupert Grint) and Hermione Granger (Emma Watson). They return to the Hogwarts School of Magic. Harry discovers that Draco Malfoy is chosen by the Dark one to kill Dumbledore,and that Professor Severus Snape has taken the unbreakable vow to protect him in his goal or die as a consequence.

Ron Weasely finds love in not one,but two girls.Harry spends most of his time trying pull a secret memory from one of his Professors named Horace Slughorn who’s afraid to reveal it because he’s ashamed of what it reveals.However, in the end Harry is able to find a magical way to get the secret from Slughorn,and attempt to go about the difficult task of ridding Voldemort from the Earth.

Unfortunately,this task proved to be more difficult than just finding out Voldemort’s secret which left off with Harry making plans for the next film, “Harry Potter and The Deathly Hollows.”

I liked the movie. It was ok.I don’t think it was the best Harry Potter film that I’ve seen.I thought the movie trailers for the film were a bit misleading. They definitely bunched all those special effects scenes together to make it seem like more than what the actual film is.

The film was mostly filled with dialogue, albeit interesting dialogue, so I was never board during the film. Actually the special effects were evenly distributed throughout the film,but the movie trailers just make it seem like there’s more. The movie did a good job of slowly revealing the secrets of some of the characters,making it intriguing.

The action and special effects scenes picked up more towards the end leaving me wanting more. So I do look forward to the next “Harry Potter” installment.

Back in April we reported on this story. Harry Potter Actor, Jamie Waylett who played the bully Vincent Crabbe in all six of the “Harry Potter” films was originally busted by police after they searched his car and found eight bags of marijuana and a knife.

They then, raided his mother’s house to discover that he was growing 10 marijuana plants worth about $2,900. They were reportedly growing under hydroponic lights next to a Playstation console.

Waylett who is now 19 years old pleaded guilty to the felony charge along with a friend at a hearing in the City of Westminster Magistrates Court. Sources report that the charge carries a maximum sentence of 14 years. Judge Timothy Workman said that they would be sentenced on Tuesday July 21,2009.

Waylett landed the part of Vincent Crabbe in “Harry Potter” after an extensive casting call in 2001. The “Harry Potter” franchise are the only films that he’s appeared in.

It’ll be a shame if he has to go to prison for a couple of years.

The latest installment of the Harry Potter series “Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince” just came out today July 15,2009 in the United States,and the reviews for it are looking mighty good.

E! Online critic Peter Paras gave it an A – rating saying, “It’s One of The Best.” Wesley Morris of the Boston Globe gave it a B -,and said, “There’s enough cliffhanging to give you vertigo.”

The famed Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times says, “I admired this Harry Potter. It opens and closes well, and has wondrous art design and cinematography as always, only more so.” He gave it a “B” rating.

Most regular viewers have given it an A- rating according to Yahoo ! Movies. So if you’re wondering about how good the new “Harry Potter” film is,that should help give you a good idea.

“Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” premiers tomorrow July 15,2009,and they have released their 13th TV promo spot (below) for the epic film. It mostly has scenes that we’ve seen before from the 12 other tv promos that came preceded it, all bundled into one.

This spot mostly promotes the unique Imax 3D experience that can be gained from watching it in an Imax theater. It also of course, delivers the awesome special effects and magical scenes that we’re all used to seeing from the “Harry Potter” promos.

The paparazzi over at Poptv.com swooned in on Daniel Radcliffe when he showed up for his David Letterman appearance the other night to promote his new “Harry Potter” film entitled “Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince” which is set to debut here in America on Wednesday July 15,2009.

In the video (below), they catch him getting out of his car. He waives to all the paparazzi,and then goes into the “Letterman” show. The paparazzi were waiting for him along with a ton of “Harry Potter” fans, after he completed his appearance. He signed a couple of autographs with his security hovering around him. Then he took a couple more snap shots,and got in his car. Ooh,paparazzi,lol!!

Emma Watson who plays Hermione Granger in the famed “Harry Potter” films, recently had a wardrobe malfunction during a premiere of the latest installment of the Harry Potter franchise, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” over in England.

When she appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman the other night, David brought up the photo. Emma said, “This was a small wardrobe malfunction that happened. I don’t actually remember when this happened. At least I’m wearing underwear!” which was a light jab at Britney Spears,Lindsay Lohan,and Paris Hilton, or could’ve been perceived that way.

Access Hollywood reports that in an interview with BBC’s “Friday Night with Jonathan Ross”, Emma Watson who plays Hermione Granger in the “Harry Potter” films, said that kissing Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley in Harry Potter) was one of the most uncomfortable filming experiences she’s ever had in her career.

She said, “We did the kiss two weeks ago and it was the most horrible thing I’ve ever had to do.” This is referring to a kiss she has to do with him in “The Deathly Hollows” installment for the franchise, which is currently being filmed.

She went on to state, “There are millions of girls out there who would probably chop their left arm off to kiss Rupert, but it just felt like incest. That’s the only way I can describe it.”

She said she burst into laughter when she had to do the kissing scene with Rupert, saying, “It was fine that I was actually kissing him because I had my eyes closed so I could not think about the fact that it was him. The worst bit is when we had to open our eyes and look at each other because then I was just like, laughter and then we couldn’t keep going. But we did it in the end. Six takes, not bad. It could be worse.”

Daniel Radcliffe, star of the famed “Harry Potter” films recently gave an interview to Esquire Magazine. He talked about a scene that he shot where he had to fight a giant snake which resulted in him incurring a bloody lip.

He stated, “I was doing this scene where I fight a giant snake and, being the hi-tech, multimillion production that we are, the snake was being played by our stunt coordinator holding a long pole with a boxing glove tied to the end with gaffer tape. I was fending it off with a chair and was caught unawares. The chair went flying into my top lip. To be honest, it was brilliant because I saw the playback later and I go down like a bloody boxer!”

He also went on to talk about other things in the interview like education,false media reports, and his future endeavors in film. He says, “The thing is, in a few years I’ll be 21, 22, and that’s when all the guys who’ve been at drama school will come out. They’ve been learning dance or singing and all that stuff, and I’m going to need to compete with them because I won’t have Harry Potter as my safety net anymore. I need to make myself as viable a choice for any part as I possibly can.”

He also talks about scripts he’s read for future movies. He states that, “Occasionally I’ll be reading scripts for stuff that might happen in the middle of next year, and then I’m taken out of Potterland for a while. But this is basically where my head’s at for the next year.”
