Janet Jackson performed old hits at Essence festival in new clip. Pop icon Janet Jackson recently took to the stage again at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans this past weekend (video below). She looked smokin hot in her sexy little one-piece leotard,showing that she’s still in supreme shape. She started off singing her old hit “Pleasure Principle.” She had tons of backup dancers onstage with her. They did a couple of provocative moves too. It was very interesting.

She went on to sing “Control,” “What Have You Done For Me Lately,” and “Alright.” Janet danced just like she was 20 years old to the “Alright” song. After that, She sang “Miss You Much,” and told the audience, “I know you remember this one. New Orleans, I miss you.” Read the rest of this entry »

Janet Jackson seen filming scenes for new Tyler Perry movie in New York. The R&B/popstar icon Janet Jackson was back at it again as she was spotted on the set of Tyler Perry’s latest movie creation entitled, “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf” out in New York City yesterday afternoon. That has gotta be the longest title I’ve seen for a movie thus far. My goodness.

Janet Jackson performed ‘Nothing’ & Nasty Boys on American Idol. R&B/pop icon Janet Jackson took to the “American Idol” stage earlier tonight on the season 9 finale show,and turned out the house by performing her latest song “Nothing” in a beautiful black,elegant dress (video below). Then once she got done singing that song,she walked to the back of the stage to do a silhouette change of clothing so she could perform her more uptempo classic hit, “Nasty Boys.”

R&B/pop icon Janet Jackson was at it again as she was spotted out at the London,England red carpet movie premiere of Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married Too.” She was recently spotted a couple of days ago,sporting the new,short hairdo for the first time. Janet looked great in her elegant dress as she walked the red carpet runway at the Ritzy Cinema three days ago.

Janet Jackson spotted with new,short haircut in London,England. R&B/pop icon Janet Jackson was spotted out in London,England yesterday night,sporting a much shorter hairdo. She was photographed leaving the Nobo Berkeley restaurant after she had a delicious dinner. Janet looked pretty casual,wearing blue jeans,black shoes, white shirt,and a black jacket.

Janet Jackson gave stunning ‘blast to the past’ 2009 American Music Award act. Janet Jackson raised the roof last night at the 2009 American Music Awards (video below). She sang her new song called, “Make Me,” along with a couple of her past number one hits like: “Control,” “Miss You Much,” “What Have You Done For Me Lately,” and “If.”

She did high paced dance moves,and at one point,even grabbed her crotch like her late brother, Michael Jackson used to do. She wore a buckskin outfit and brown suede boots. Janet Jackson gave a huge, incredible live performance (video below) at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards tonight to pay tribute to her “King Of Pop” brother, Michael Jackson who unfortunately passed away in June.

The performance started off with other dancers performing to Micheal Jackson’s “Thriller,” “Beat It,” “Smooth Criminal,” “Bad,” and then Janet came out to perform the last song entitled, “Scream,” which was a duet that her and Michael did a long time ago. Read the rest of this entry »

According to MTV, Janet Jackson is set to lead a tribute to her deceased, pop icon brother, Michael Jackson at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards this Sunday. They report that she’ll open the show by honoring her brother’s career which was intertwined with the rise of MTV, back in the early 80′s.

They also say that choreographer Frank Gaston will not be involved in the tribute,after there had been rumors going around that he would be involved.

At the 2009 BET awards last night on June 28,2009, Janet Jackson spoke publicly for the first time about Michael since his death at the end of the show. She said, “My entire family wanted to be here tonight, but it was too painful.”

She then said she would make her comments brief,and continued, saying, “To you, Michael is an icon.To us, Michael is family. He will forever live in all of our hearts. On behalf of my family and myself, thank you for all of your love, thank you for all of your support. We miss him so much. Thank you so much.” After she spoke, she teared up. Then Jamie Fox and Ne-Yo performed one of the Jackson 5′s biggest hit songs “I’ll Be There”.

Janet Jackson, a mega star in her own right,and the little sister of Michael Jackson is reportedly grief stricken and devastated over the sudden loss of her older brother. Her manager stated, “She is in pre-production on a film and is flying immediately to California to be with her family.” Since that statement was released, she has been seen in Los Angeles. She performed with him many times as a child,and also shot a music video with him as an adult.

Kanye West also posted a photo of Michael on his blog,and wrote, “Thank you for everything, Mike.”
