Well, it looks like Warner Bros. has made it’s decision in who will play Johnny Quest in their new well, “Johnny Quest” movie. It’s none other than Zac Efron . Two things surprise me with this news . The first being that Warner Bros might not be sticking with the “Johnny Quest” name which to me seems like the whole point. Ya know ? The whole “cash in on the name” thing. Anyways this is the second franchise to do this. First with the “Karate Kid” changing to the “Kung Fu Kid”, and now this.

Apparently the supposed Warner Bros. thinking is that, to many people will confuse it with the popular cartoon version, and not go see it. I don’t really know about that,but what I do think is that if they change the name, they’ve got a definite uphill battle to climb in terms of marketing as it will have no name recognition.
