Fox cancels Joss Whedon’s ‘Dollhouse’ TV show,according to Hollywood Reporter. They report that the Fox network has finally decided to cancel “Dollhouse” which almost got canceled after its first season,due to low TV ratings,but got saved by it’s DVR and online viewing ratings.

However,now it has reached the end of its ropes. Fox benched the show after airing just four episodes this season.

They will go ahead and air the entire order of 13 episodes. Joss Whedon is reported to be on board,to give the show a good and proper ending with a big finale.

The show is out of November sweeps,but will return with new episodes in December. The first new one will air on December 4.

I kinda figured this might happen because the show didn’t really seem to be going anywhere,when it started back up. Then all of a sudden,it wasn’t on anymore. That’s usually how it works out.

Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse” episode 2 of season 2 is coming this Friday and it will be entitled ,”Instinct.” We’ve got a few spoilers and a promo clip for the show after the jump. In Dollhouse “Instinct,” Echo (Eliza Dushku) will be imprinted with the memory of a mother with a newborn baby for the Dollhouse’s latest business client.

However, a problem will occur when Echo becomes too emotionally involved with motherhood due to her maternal instincts and Topher’s programming. Meanwhile, Perrin will escalate his investigation into the Rossum Corporation over the imprint technology.

DeWitt will pay a visit to the former active named,November who has a dark agenda of her own.

Jamie Bamber’s character will be a wealthy financer. Echo is going to be programmed to be someone else. Apparently, this whole wedding thing doesn’t go down so great, as Echo has blood on her forehead during their supposed honeymoon.

Also agent Paul Ballard (Tahmoh Penikett) shows up on the scene,but Echo doesn’t recognize him since she has a new personality. She starts a fight with him while her new husband looks on. But according to FOX, Paul tries to get Echo to remember her past in an effort to save his life.

Summer Glau who played Cameron Phillips on the now cancelled “Terminator : The Sarah Connor Chronicles” Fox TV show, is set to join the cast of Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse” for its upcoming 2nd season.

Her role will be recurring,and she’ll be playing a character named, Bennett. Bennett is a Dollhouse employee who shares a past with Echo (Eliza Dushku). She’ll be joining the latest castmember additions to show which include : Alexis Denisof, Jamie Bamber, Michael Hogan and Keith Carradine. They will all be guest starring on the show this season.

Michael Ausiello from EW reports that Keith Carradine who is returning to Dexter as Deb’s ex, Special Agent Frank Lundy, has also been enlisted by Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse” for two episodes.

He is going to be playing a powerful businessman named Matthew Harding. He didn’t have anymore information as to what his intentions are,or anything, or which episodes he will appear in. We just know that he’s gonna be making an appearance at some point in Dollhouse’s 2nd season, so keep your eyes open.

Jamie Bamber who played Captain Lee ‘Apollo’ Adama in “Battlestar Galactica”, is set to guest star on Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse”. He will reportedly appear in the premiere episode of season 2.

His character will be sharing scenes with Eliza Dushku’s character “Echo” and Paul Ballard (Tahmoh Penikett). It’s a bit of a reunion for Jamie and Tahmoh because they both played in Battlestar Galactica together.

Jamie Bamber’s character will be heavily engaged in an assignment that Echo and Paul Ballard are attempting to complete. Fox gave no other information on what the assignment will be or anything, so we’ll just have to wait and see. Maybe some more info will creep up as we draw closer to the premiere.

E! online caught up with Eliza Dushku and Joss Whedon of FOX’s “Dollhouse” at the recent Comic-Con event.In the video(below), They talked about how excited they are for the release of ‘Dollhouse” season one on dvd.

Then they talked about what they were going to do to raise the bar for the second season. Joss said that the first season was all about planting seeds about what might happen in the future. The second season will be about watching those seeds grow.

They talked about the support they are getting from FOX,and that they are starting to understand the direction that the show is meant to go in. Then they talk a little bit about the un-aired episode that is on the dvd.

Joss said that the episode was supposed to air,but never didn’t. So now, it has become one of the greatest extras he’s ever created.Also the content it contained, will be apart of season 2. They concluded by talking about how they handle all the high profile exposure at Comic-Con.

Ausiello from ew reports that Amy Acker will be reprising her role as Dr. Claire Saunders on Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse” for at least three episodes in its second season.

There was some doubt if she would return because she has recently gotten a full time gig on ABC’s new drama “Happy Town.” I don’t really know much about this new “Happy Town” drama ABC has lined up,but I’m gonna go with my gut instinct and say it probably won’t last long,and we’ll see Amy Acker back for even more “Dollhouse” action.

Amy Acker appeared in 11 of the 14 episodes from the first season of “Dollhouse.” I’m not sure why she ran off to ABC,but we want her back full time on “Dollhouse”.

That’s right. The almost canceled show last year, will be making its way back for a second season starting September 25,2009. It was originally set for September 18,but they set it back to give Joss Whedon more time to film the already tight filming schedule the show has.

Fox will be airing as many new episodes as possible over consecutive weeks in the fall. My sources also say that the unaired bonus episode entitled “Epitah One” still hasn’t been licensed by FOX, and have no plans of it being aired in primetime.

However, you can see the unaired episode in the “Dollhouse” season one DVD package. It will be coming out on July 28,2009. “Epitah One” will also be screened as part of the “Dollhouse” panel at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con on July 24,2009. I love this show,and can’t wait to see what else Joss comes up with in the future for this show.

Kristin Dos Santos from E! Online got a chance to chat it up with Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse” star Eliza Dushku. She said towards the end of the first season, the show really started to take it’s shape. The shape that they had originally envisioned for it,and they were starting to have so much fun. Then she said that the fans gave them so much loyalty and support. They really love that,and she believes that’s why they have a second season. She can’t wait to give the fans what they want.

She stated that there was actually more pressure in the first season because they were trying to take a big story and chop it up,condense it down. Now that they’ve gotten that out of the way, they really get to make the show that they want to make. She says that the writers are very creative and talented.

Next, she explained how she wants to learn some more specialized specific fighting techniques for the show. She talks about a couple of fight scenes she did last season. But this season, she’s going to bring some more skills. She concludes with giving the show’s airtime which is Fridays this fall on Fox at 8pm central time. She also stated that they’re sticking with the basis of people watching the live internet stream,and dvr recording it.
