Keanu Reeves confirmed new ‘Bill And Ted 3′ movie is in the works. MTV News recently chatted with Keanu Reeves while he was promoting his new Indie,comedy flick titled “Henry Crime.” During the interview, he revealed that the writers are actually six weeks away from a draft for a new “Bill and Ted 3″ movie. The original writers will be writing it (video below).

He revealed that he knows a little bit about what the new film will be like. However, he doesn’t know what happened when the guys went back and put all the elements together. He went on to say that the story might revolve around the fact that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written a song that saved the world,but it hasn’t happened. Read the rest of this entry »

Universal pictures has picked “The Day The Earth Stood Still” remake star, Keanu Reeves to star in yet another remake of the “The Strange Case Of Dr.Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” which will be entitled “Jekyll”. Justin Haythe ,the writer of “Revolutionary Road” has been hired to write the script. Nicholas Winding Refn is currently in negotiations to direct the film. Erwin Stoff ,Douglas Wick,and Lucy Fisher are going to produce it.

The plot of the original story was about a doctor who creates a potion which brings out his inner evil side being Mr. Hyde. As time goes by, Mr. Hyde grows stronger until the point where Dr. Jekyll no longer needs the potion to bring out the Mr. Hyde in him.

Keanu Reeves’ “The Day the Earth Stood Still” came in at number 1 raking in $31 million in ticket sales during the three day weekend pushing the current two week box office champion, “Four Christmases” into the number 2 slot. The movie is about an alien, Klaatu (Keanu Reeves) who has come to Earth to save it from the destructive humans,but then decides to spare them after he sees a different side to them that is free from violence and war. The movie got allot of bad reviews from critics,but that didn’t stop moviegoers including myself from going to see it.

This was Keanu Reeves’ biggest opening since 2003 when he starred in “The Matrix : Revolution” which grossed $48 million in it’s opening weekend to eventually make $139 million. “The Day the Earth Stood Still” is also number 1 overseas making about $39 million in 90 markets. In “The Day the Earth Stood Still” the government gathers a group of top scientist one of them being Helen Benson (Jennifer Connelly) because they see a unknown flying object moving through outer space headed for Earth at blazing fast speeds on their radars. They think the object is an asteriod or meteorite that will wipe out Earth if it were to hit. The option to missile it away had come up ,but the object is moving so fast that the chance of success is slim to none.

They prepare for the worst as the object enters Earth,but then wait it begins to slow down as if to prepare for a landing which it does eventually do. Apparently it’s a giant sphere. Everyone gathers around it,and out steps an alien cloaked in a special body suite. Read the rest of this entry »

Keanu Reeves next big film will be for Universal Studios entitled, “47 Ronin”. It will be about a group of samurai swordsmen that avenge the death of their master in the 18th century around 1702 in Japan. Keanu will play one of the Swordsman. The movie will have a mix of fantasy elements seen in movies like, “Lord of the Rings” and rough battle scenes similar to those in “Gladiator”.Chris Morgan, who wrote the script for “Wanted” and the upcoming new “Fast and Furious” is writing the script for this film. They are supposed to start shooting it next year after they hire a director.

I think it’ll be cool to see Keanu in a movie like this mostly because he’s no stranger to Kung Fu fight scenes as seen in the “Matrix” trilogy. Also here’s a fun fact that I wasn’t aware of. Read the rest of this entry »

Here’s the trailer for “The Day the Earth Stood still” movie that’s coming out in a few weeks. It stars : Keanu Reeves, Jennifer Connelly, Kathy Bates, Jaden Smith, Jon Hamm, Kyle Chandler. The trailer looks really,really cool . I’ll definately go check this one out.

The Plot : In a remake of the 1951 Classic, Keanu Reeves plays, Klaatu an alien that arrives to Earth and triggers a global upheaval. Governments and scientist try to seek out the reason for the alien’s arrival. A woman(Jennifer Connelly) and her stepson get caught up in his mission and start to understand why he describes himself as a friend to Earth. His message is that Earth must live in peace or prepare to be destroyed by, Gort a member of a race of super-robot enforcers invented to keep the peace of the galaxy.
