Rapper Lil Wayne sent to solitary confinement in prison. According to TMZ, mega rapstar Lil Wayne recently got sent to solitary confinement in prison over an mp3 charger and headphones that were found. They say that Lil Wayne has been tossed into Riker’s Island’s version of solitary confinement after he was found with a pair of headphones and a mp3 charger in his cell.

Lil Wayne will be in punitive segregation where he will have less interaction with inmates,and spend up to 23 hours a day in an isolation cell. His “out of cell” time is now restricted to visits,religious services,and one hour of recreational time. His phone privileges have been reduced to one personal phone call a week. Eminem & Lil Wayne released their new ‘No Love’ music video clip online. The new “No Love” music video (below) by mega rap stars Eminem and Lil Wayne got released online yesterday afternoon. The new song samples Haddaway’s “What Is Love,” and was produced by Just Blaze. The music video includes scenes of Lil Wayne rapping in the dark room while he finishes a yearlong jail sentence.

The new “No Love” song is scheduled to be released on the radio on October 5th. In related news, Lil Wayne is scheduled to be released from jail sometime next month,which is way earlier than his original expected wait of a full year. Read the rest of this entry »

Rapper Lil Wayne to get out of prison in November. According to MTV news, rapper Lil Wayne is scheduled to get out of prison as early as this November. They say that according to prison records they’ve accessed, his projected release date is November 4th. Pending any violations or infractions for behavioral issues,Lil Wayne should exit prison just 8 months after entering.

He entered prison on March 8th after a couple of events caused it to be postponed. He was supposed to enter in early February. Although Lil Wayne has been locked away, his presence has still remained high in the hip hop world as his protege Drake debuted on top of the music charts with “Thank Me Later,” which Lil Wayne executive produced. Rapper Lil Wayne released new ‘Get A Life’ music video clip online. Mega rapstar Lil Wayne released the new music video (below) for his “Get A Life” song online yesterday. It’s part of a series of music videos that he shot on the weekend of February 6th. During that weekend he shot music videos for “Knockout,” “Da Da Da,” and “Runnin.” The “Get A Life” song is off his latest album entitled, “Rebirth.”

The “Get A Life” music video was directed by David Rousseau,and it premiered yesterday on MTV2 and MTV Jams as part of Lil Tunechi Weekend. In the “Get A Life” music video, Lil Wayne rocks out with the band named Mayday! on top of a South Beach hotel. Read the rest of this entry »

Rapper Lil Wayne premiered new ‘Knockout’ music video clip online. Rapstar Lil Wayne’s new music video (below) for his song “Knockout” premiered yesterday online. The song is from his latest album entitled, “Rebirth.” It features Nicki Minaj who raps near the end of the song,and also sings the chorus. The song revolves around Lil Wayne’s personal relationships with a diverse group of women.

The “Knockout” music video was shot on the weekend of February the 6th,along with “Da Da Da” and “Get a Life.” Lil Wayne spent about 48 hours,shooting the music videos. They showed a sneak peek of the “Knockout” music video on May 26 with Minaj playing a real life Barbie while Lil Wayne chased after her in a high-school fantasy. Read the rest of this entry »

Rapper, Lil Wayne gets in big trouble while In prison. According to TMZ , rapstar Lil Wayne got in some more trouble,while serving his one year sentence in prison. They say he was reportedly busted during an early morning search with a pair of earphones and an iPod charger. This is apparently not allowed at Rikers Island. He will be charged with an infraction for being in possession of a music contraband.

One big mystery for this particular incident, is that the officials were unable to locate the actual mp3 player that he was using the earphones and ipod charger for. Rapper, Lil Wayne gets issued a warrant for his arrest while in prison. According to TMZ , rapstar Lil Wayne has been issued another warrant for his arrest even though he’s already in prison. They say that Lil Wayne missed a court date in Arizona yesterday because,well, he’s already in prison. However, Yuma County didn’t care,and issued a bench warrant for his arrest.

Apparently, Lil Wayne pled “not guilty” in the past to a litany of drug charges related to a January 2008 arrest. DEA agents had found 105 grams of marijuana, 29 grams of cocaine, 41 grams of ecstasy pills, and a 40-caliber pistol on his tour bus. Read the rest of this entry »

Rapper, Lil Wayne gets banned from signing autographs in prison. According to TMZ, rapstar Lil Wayne has been banned from signing any autographs,while in prison. They say that Lil Wayne has been instructed not to sign a single autograph during his stay at Rikers Island prison. One of the representatives for the Correction Officer’s Benevolent Association said the officials issued the “no autograph” mandate because ” Lil Wayne is not a celebrity in here. ”

Lil Wayne finally got sent to Rikers Island jail yesterday as high profile. According to TMZ , rapstar Lil Wayne finally made his way to Rikers Island jail in New York yesterday after eluding his one year jail sentence for almost a full month. They say he arrived to the New York jail in a corrections van as a “high-profile inmate,” which means he wasn’t transported with any other prisoners. He underwent the admissions procedure at the jail,which entailed a physical & mental health exam & questionnaire.

Lil Wayne got filmed & hounded by paparazzi at his jail sentence today. According to TMZ and the video clip (below), rapstar Lil Wayne got hounded and filmed while getting out of his car outside the courthouse where he was to be sentenced,earlier today. They also say Lil Wayne got the judge to agree to place him in protective custody while he serves his one year sentence in jail for a gun conviction.

The judge asked Lil Wayne if he wanted to make a statement before his sentencing,but he just shook his head no. After Lil Wayne was sentenced,he was cuffed. Then he turned to his fans in the courtroom,and bowed his head. Read the rest of this entry »
