The 90 minute Michael Jackson memorial that took place yesterday July 7,2009 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles was possibly one of the most moving and touching events I’ve ever witnessed while watching it live via an internet feed.

E! online is airing Michael Jackson’s much anticipated memorial service live right now on their home page eonline.com. On tap to perform there, are Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson,and Lionel Richie.
Hollywood Reporter says that the E! network is going to be airing Michael Jackson’s memorial service, live on their tv channel and online. The service is scheduled to take place on Tuesday July 7,2009 at 10 am pacific time at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. They say the broadcast will be live everywhere in the world E! is seen.

According to reports, the 30 second rehearsal footage of Michael Jackson rehearsing just two days prior to his death, is only part of more than 100 hours of footage that could be turned into live albums,a movie,and a pay-per-view special.
A promoter said that the tons of material they have along with possible insurance proceeds and ticket sales to memorabilia collectors, could help pay into the estimated $400 million in debt that Michael’s estate has incurred.

AEG released the video (below) of Michael Jackson rehearsing Tuesday June 23,2009, just two days before his death. He totally looked healthy,and his dance moves were sharp. According to reports, there were no signs that Michael was ill,and certainly not any signs of him not being alive two days later.
According to reports, sales of Michael Jackson’s music drastically went way up following his death. According to Billboard, Michael sold over 415,000 copies of his albums this past week which include “Thriller” and “Off The Wall”.
His greatest hits compilations entitled “Number Ones” and “The Essential Michael Jackson” rose to the top of the charts with sales of 108,000 and 102,000.
Access Hollywood reports that Michael Jackson’s July 7, 2002 will was filed today Wednesday July 1,2009 which reportedly would give his entire estate to a family trust,and leave out his former wife Debbie Rowe.
The will,at the time estimated his estate to be worth more than $500 million.

A couple of days before Michael died, he had been rehearsing for a 50 date tour in London which he said would be his final tour. Access Hollywood released these two photos (one above,one below) of him rehearsing at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on June 23,2009. His tour was going to begin on July 13,2009,and he would’ve done 50 shows at London’s 02 arena, according to reports.

MTV reported that superstar pop singer Justin Timberlake recently made a statement about Michael Jackson, stating, “I can’t find the words right now to express how deeply saddened I am by Michael’s passing. We have lost a genius and a true ambassador of not only pop music, but of all music. He has been an inspiration to multiple generations, and I will always cherish the moments I shared with him onstage and all of the things I learned about music from him and the time we spent together. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones.”
At the 2009 BET awards last night on June 28,2009, Janet Jackson spoke publicly for the first time about Michael since his death at the end of the show. She said, “My entire family wanted to be here tonight, but it was too painful.”
