Mike Welch says new vampire breed, & more appear in Twilight ‘Eclipse.’ According to Zap2it , Michael Welch who plays the human, Mike Newton in the popular “Twilight Saga” movies recently gave away some more interesting details about the new,upcoming “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” movie.

He revealed that there is going to be a new breed of vampires that show up and a lot more. They say that Michael Welch recently got interviewed by “The Dish Rag” about what’s coming up in “Twilight Saga: Eclipse.” He said “Eclipse” is going to be awesome and more. As you “Twilight Saga” fans know, Robert Pattinson’s character Edward Cullen is mostly absent from the “New Moon” version in the book. However, recently Mike Welch who plays Mike Newton in “Twilight” and “New Moon”, revealed to MTV how they have been able to include his character in the “New Moon”movie.

He stated, “They figured out a very clever way to get Edward back in the film much more than he is in the book.It’s more of, like, a hallucination kind of thing. It’s tricky.In the book, she just hears his voice. In the film, it’s more of like a hallucination kind of thing. He will be in the movie more than the book for sure. It’s going to be interesting to see. I have no idea. You can sort of picture it reading the script, but I don’t know how they actually went about filming that stuff.” Read the rest of this entry »

Mike Welch who plays Mike Newton in “Twilight” and “New Moon” recently gave an interview to MTV. He talked with them about Bella Swan’s (Kristen Stewart) scene where she attempts to get over Edward Cullen by going on a three way date with Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) and Mike Newton. He stated , “I really should’ve checked with someone if this is information I can give away or not.” He said Bella,Mike,and Jacob are going to be watching a horror film at the movie theater,and that Chris Weitz is inserting his own mini “movie within a movie” into the mix.

Blast magazine recently had a sit down with “Twilight” and “New Moon” movie star Mike Welch. He plays the human, Mike Newton in the “Twilight Saga” films. He talked about the differences between filming in Portland and Vancouver. He said he liked the city of Vancouver more than Portland in not so many words. He also said that he’ll be at the Twilight Vampire Baseball Event in Portland on July 4th weekend.

He talked about some of the charity work he’s done in the past. Then they talked about all the “Twilight Saga” apparel that’s been popping up,and he said that he’s seen a couple of Team Mike stuff pop up here and there, but it’s mostly Team Edward and Jacob stuff that’s out there.
