New 'Battleship' movie delivered cool action,special effects, drama & more. Universal Pictures released their new action flick "Battleship" into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and thought it was very fun to watch as it served up tons of explosive action,drama,and a touch of comedy. The movie stars: Taylor Kitsch, Brooklyn Decker, Alexander Skarsgard, Rihanna, Asano Tadanobu,and Liam Neeson. In the new movie, commander Stone Hopper (Alexander Skarsgard) makes his little brother Alex Hopper (Taylor Kitsch) join the Navy after he gets into way too much trouble,and does nothing with his life. Meanwhile, NASA discovers an extrasolar planet with conditions similar to Earth. On the chance that it contains intelligent life, NASA transmits a powerful signal from a communications array in Hawaii, which is boosted by a satellite in orbit to that planet. This action would eventually prove to be a fatal mistake. Alex eventually becomes a Lieutenant in the Navy,and is in love with a beautiful chick,named Samantha Shane (Brooklyn Decker),and wants to marry her. However,those plans get put on hold when the aliens from that planet,mentioned earlier,arrive in a couple of spaceships,sink themselves into the Hawaii ocean,while one of them crashes into Hong Kong,causing major damage. Both Alex and Stone take their teams out to investigate the mysterious ships that have landed in the ocean,but things don't end up going well. The aliens end up taking out a couple of their ships,including Stone's ship,killing him and all men who were on board. At this point, Alex is appointed the new captain,but nearly gets everyone killed,because he immediately wants to retaliate over his brother's death. Fortunately,he eventually calms down,and has the men retreat to figure things out.

New 'The Dictator' movie delivered crazy laughs and a pretty good storyline. Paramount Pictures released their new Sasha Baron Cohen, comedy flick "The Dictator" in theaters this past Wednesday. I just checked it out today,and I thought it was pretty damn funny. Some of the jokes hit on corny status,but for the most part,it was funny. They brought in that funny Anna Faris chick,which was a pretty good choice for this. The movie stars: Sacha Baron Cohen, Anna Faris, Ben Kingsley, Megan Fox, John C. Reilly,and J.B. Smoove. In the new flick, character Admiral General Hafez Aladeen (Sacha Baron Cohen) is the dictator ruler of the North African Republic of Wadiya,and uses many body doubles in case someone tries to kill him. However,on his trip to America,his body doubles trick gets turned on him when one of his own men named Tamir, develops plans of his own. Tamir apparently wants Wadiya to become a democracy,so he can make billions. So, he has Aladeen kidnapped,and replaced with a double,and has the body double declare, Wadiya is going to become a democracy. All he has to do is sign the papers. However, that was not to happen for a couple of days,giving the real Aladeen a chance to find a way to take out the double, and stop the signing. However,that would prove to be very difficult on his own,because his kidnapper shaved off his signature beard,so no one could recognize him.

New Johnny Depp 'Dark Shadows' movie delivered great action,drama,comedy & more. Warner Bros. Pictures released their new thriller flick "Dark Shadows" into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and I thought it was really good and entertaining. It also had more darkness and thrills to it than the movie trailers,led on. Johnny Depp was,of course,great in it,and also served up some funny lines. The movie stars: Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Jackie Earle Haley, Jonny Lee Miller, Eva Green, Chloë Grace Moretz, Bella Heathcote,and Gully McGrath. In the new flick, character Barnabas Collins (Johnny Depp) managed to majorly piss off an obsessed,love struck,witch named Angelique for having lots of romantic fun with her,but not loving her. Once he actually fell in love with another woman named Josette DuPres, Angelique had her killed,and turned Barnabas into a bloodsucking vampire. Then she eventually had the townspeople drag him away,to bury him alive for 200 years. In the year 1972, some construction workers,unknowingly dug Barnabas up after hitting his coffin. After sucking all their blood from suffering 200 years of thirst, Barnabas made his way back to his beloved Collinwood Manor,and made himself right at home with his current relatives that resided there. The movie went on to reveal that most of the members had a lot of strange secrets. Once Angelique realized Barnabas had escaped his prison,she found him,and immediately started causing him more problems as she still wanted him to love her. She had also taken over the town,and was running things.

New 'The Avengers' movie delivered hardcore action,drama,a touch of comedy & more. Marvel Pictures released their new super hero/action flick "The Avengers" into theaters this weekend. I just watched it,and thought it was extremely fun to watch as it served up hardcore action right from the jump,and never let up. In fact,the action and tensions got even more scorching hot as the movie progressed along. It stars: Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Cobie Smulders, Clark Gregg,and Samuel L. Jackson. In the new movie, Thor's evil,extremely crazy,brother Loki came flying through the energy portal that was created by an energy source that Nick Fury and the SHIELD organization was messing around with,called the Tesseract. As soon as Loki arrived,he began a mad tare,killing off tons of people,and using his energy staff to get certain people to do his bidding,including Hawkeye and physicist consultant Dr. Erik Selvig. This quickly prompted Nick Fury to resurrect the old "Avengers" program,that was previously deactivated,in an effort to deal with the dangers Loki posed on the world. Once all the heroes were called into action,they were able to capture Loki and imprison him. However,it was too late,because he already set the wheels in motion to open a portal with the Tesseract that would let his evil army into the world.

New 'Safe' movie delivered great hardcore action,violence,drama & more. Lionsgate released their new extreme action flick "Safe" into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and thought it was totally awesome. Jason Statham always delivers on the intense,extreme action. This movie served up a ton of guns blazing,fists flying action over some money and an important disk. It stars: Jason Statham, Robert John Burke, Chris Sarandon, Anson Mount,and Catherine Chan. In the new flick, character Luke Wright (Jason Statham) is making a living by throwing mixed martial arts fights. However,one day,he accidentally wins one,causing the Russian mob to lose a boatload of money. To punish him,they murder his family,and banish him from his life forever by threatening to kill anyone he develops a relationship with. From this point,Luke wanders the streets,and almost considers ending his life by jumping in front of a subway train until he sees that a little Chinese girl named Mei is being chased by the same Russian Mafia that murdered his family and messed him over. He eventually rescues Mei from all the bad guys that are trying to capture her,and discovers that she holds a secret arrangement

New 'The Raven' movie delivered OK mystery,action,thrills & more. Relativity Media released their new thriller flick "The Raven" into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and I thought it was jut ok as it was sort of slow-moving for my taste. However,there were moments where it did liven up quite a bit,and I enjoyed that. The movie stars: John Cusack, Luke Evans, Alice Eve, Brendan Gleeson,and Oliver Jackson-Cohen. In the new flick,an extremely crazy man takes Edgar Allen Poe's (John Cusack) fictional murder books to heart,and starts using the plotlines to carry out real murders in the exact same way. A young detective Fields recognizes the killer is using Edgar's work to plot his murders,so he recruits Edgar to work with him on trying to locate the killer. Unfortunately,the murders escalate into a deadly game of cat and mouse,resulting in the murderer kidnapping Edgar's lover Emily Hamilton. After that,Edgar and the crew,use clues that the killer gives them,to try and find the location of Emily. The first location,results in a violent ambush that involved shooting,and more vicious murdering. Finally,Poe decides to write a new column in which he tells the killer that he's tired of the games,and is willing to exchange his life for Emily's. Eventually,Poe gets tipped off to who the killer might be,and it leads to a chilling and sad conclusion that also serves up a touch of revenge to cap things off.

New 'Think Like A Man' movie delivered hysterical laughs,drama & more. Screen Gems (Sony) released their new romantic/comedy flick "Think Like A Man" into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and I thought it was way funnier than I originally thought it would be. Comedian Kevin Hart,dished out a ton of laughs throughout the entire flick and the rest of the cast wasn't too shabby either. The movie stars: Michael Ealy, Jerry Ferrara, Meagan Good, Regina Hall, Kevin Hart, Taraji P. Henson, Terrence J, Jenifer Lewis, Romany Malco, Gary Owen,and Gabrielle Union. The new flick is based on comedian Steve Harvey's best-selling book "Act Like Lady. Think Like A Man," and focuses on four guys,who are in a relationship,and start to realize their women have a lot of the same ideas and questions about relationships,and other areas of life. Eventually,they piece the puzzle together,and realize their women have gotten their hands on Steve's book,and are using it to try to get them to do what they want. From this point,the men get their own copy of the book,and use the knowledge to turn the tables on the girls. It works for a while,but soon,their deception catches up with them,and puts them on the outs with the ladies. Eventually,both the guys and the girls learn a much more deeper lesson about relationships and love that brings them back together in the end,but not without delivering a ton of laughs,hysterical moments,and drama in between.

I just checked it out,and thought it was totally action-packed,thrilling,and fun to watch as it even served up a touch of humor in the process. It stars: Guy Pearce, Maggie Grace, Peter Stormare, Lennie James, Vincent Regan, Tim Plester, Anne-Solenne Hatte, Yan Dron, Patrick Cauderlier, Milorad Kapor, Bojan Peric,and Mark Tankersley. In the new flick, the current date was 2079,and an ex-CIA agent named Snow (Guy Pearce) is held in United States government custody,and interrogated about the events that happened before his capture by Scott Langral,who is the Chief of the United States Secret Service. Snow's retelling of the events,shows he was forced to kill assailants and flee with a very valuable briefcase after a secret intelligence exchange meeting goes wrong. He gets in touch with his contact named Mace,and asks for help in storing the case. From there,Snow gets chased all around before,making his way to the train station. Once there,he was able to throw the briefcase to Mase,just before his capture. Afterwards,Mase stored the briefcase in a secret locker before he was captured.

New 'Cabin In The Woods' movie delivered lots of thrills,suspense & crazy twist. Lionsgate released their new horror/thriller flick "The Cabin In The Woods" into theaters this weekend. I just watched it,and I thought it was a pretty wild movie to watch as it was totally all over the place,and they served up just about every monster in existence. It was almost sort of ridiculous at one point,because I was like,really? Come on. The movie stars: Kristen Connolly, Chris Hemsworth, Anna Hutchison, Fran Kranz, Jesse Williams, Richard Jenkins,and Bradley Whitford. In the new movie,five crazy kids Dana,Curt,Jules,Marty,and Holden headed off to a "cabin in the woods" that was supposed to belong to a cousin of one of the kids,but guess what,it really wasn't. In fact,once the kids got settled into the cabin,we learned that a group of technicians were watching every little move they made through video cameras and surveillance footage. Marty always suspected something,especially since he wasn't effected by any gases or drugs that were carefully planted in the cabin,due his weed smoking. Eventually,the kids started playing games,and set off a command that raised up zombies to come to the cabin,and kill them. As the story progressed along,one by one,the kids started meeting their very gruesome deaths,starting with Jules,who got her gorgeous head decapitated. Once everyone found out about Jules,they started scrambling,trying to find a way out,but soon learned,there was no way out. Eventually,everyone got plucked off except for Dana,who was about to meet her death until Marty came out of nowhere to reveal he was still alive,and rescued her.

New Three Stooges movie delivered lots of laughs,twists,Jersey Shore crew & more. 20th Century Fox released their new "Three Stooges" remake,comedy, flick into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and I thought it was very funny as it delivered a ton of laughs,especially when they brought the Jersey Shore crew in to get slapped around by Moe. The movie stars: Chris Diamantopoulos, Will Sasso, Sean Hayes, Jane Lynch, Larry David, Stephen Collins, Sofia Vergara,and Jennifer Hudson. In the flick,the Three Stooges Moe,Larry,and Curly,set off to help save the orphanage they grew up in,from being foreclosed on. Unfortunately,they had to raise $830,000 to do it. During their attempts to raise the money,they got caught up in a scandalous plot that involved them murdering someone to earn the money. However,there were a few twists,set in place,that quickly made the whole thing go bad,and the Stooges found themselves being chased around by police for most of the flick,and they got into all kinds of trouble while smacking themselves around. At one point,Curly and Larry,split off from Moe after they got into a big fight over him being so prideful. From there,Moe stumbled into getting casts on to the MTV Jersey Shore reality show,where he eventually slapped the whole cast around to the point that they threatened to sue him. It was totally hilarious.
