‘Bandslam’ Movie Brought Laughs,Inspiration,Drama & New Moon

Summit Entertainment’s new Bandslam flick finally hit the the theaters this weekend, and after watching it, I must say, I felt good. It was a feel good type of movie that brought a good mixture of comedy, drama, and inspiration.
Oh, and Summit also dropped their 2nd “Twilight Saga :New Moon” movie trailer just before the movie started. All you “Twilighters” out there are going to love the 2nd “New Moon” trailer. It was way more better than the first one. It’s really good.
Now, back to “Bandslam.” The plot pretty much revolved around a high school kid named Will Burton (Gaelan Connell). He moves from Connecticut to New Jersey with his mom who has found a new job.
He’s had sort of a rough time in his old school, but once he enrolls in his new school, he’s able to find a few friends which include Sa5m-the 5 is silent (Vanessa Hudgens) and Charlotte Banks (Alyson Michalka). Read the rest of this entry »
‘The Time Traveler’s Wife’ Movie Told A Very Interesting Story
New Line Cinemas released their new romantic, drama, sort of sci-fi film, “The Time Traveler’s Wife” this weekend. It told a very interesting story that was filled with a lot of interesting twists that needed to be followed to the tee,to get it.
The synopsis revolved around characters Henry DeTamble (Eric Bana) and Clare Abshire (Rachel McAdams). Henry is a time traveler due to a rare genetic disorder. He travels through time, back and forth through his lifespan, reliving moments from his past and future.
Also when he travels,he never gets to take his clothes with him, so he’s always naked when he reaches his destination, and must always hide or find clothes very quickly. He apparently meets Clare when she was a child, and revealed to her that he was a time traveler, and she’s been in love with him ever since. Read the rest of this entry »
‘District 9′ Was An Action Packed, Unique, And Sorta Weird Movie

TriStar Picture’s sci-fi thriller, “District 9″ movie hit the theaters this weekend, and I must say that it was a pretty interesting film. It had a pretty good story, although the ending left a little bit to be desired for me.
The plot revolved around Multi-National United (MNU) field operative, Wikus van der Merwe (Sharlto Copley) and a whole bunch of aliens. They landed on Earth decades ago,and have since resided in District 9,located in South Africa for 28 years.
Eventually control over the aliens was handed over to MNU, who’s primary goal was to find out how to use the alien’s powerful weapons which can only be used by someone with alien DNA.
Wikus was sent over to District 9 to hand out notices of eviction to the aliens Unfortunately for Wikus he contracted a weird DNA altering virus while searching one of the alien’s homes. Read the rest of this entry »
‘G.I. Joe : The Rise Of Cobra’ Movie Totally Rocked The Cashbah

The epic Paramount distributed “G.I. Joe : The Rise Of Cobra” movie finally released this weekend . I just got done watching it,and let me just say, right off the bat, that this is one film that was actually better than the movie trailers it put out.
This freakin flick rocked, and told a good story as well. Sure it had a lot of explosions, fights, and all that good stuff. But what made this movie so unique, is that it explained the reasoning behind it all, very, very well.
A brief synopsis of the film focuses around Duke (Channing Tatum), Ana aka Baroness (Sienna Miller), Ripcord (Marlon Wayans). Duke and Ripcord are assigned to deliver a very dangerous, new weapon that could eat through an entire city unless a “kill” switch is hit to stop them, once deployed.
The very crooked team which consist of the Barones, Storm Shadow (Byung-hun Lee),and the rest, make numerous attacks on the Joes Read the rest of this entry »
‘Funny People’ Movie Delivered Dirty, Ranchy, Hilarius Comedy

Adam Sandler’s new “Funny People” movie made it’s debut Friday July 31,2009. I just got through watching it,and walked out feeling like I just got tickled to death. Funny people aptly starred some very funny people which included : Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann, Eric Bana, Jonah Hill, Jason Schwartzman, RZA, Aubrey Plaza, Maude Apatow, Iris Apatow.
I thought Adam Sandler, Jonah Hill,Seth Rogan, and Jason Schwartzman all did a really great job of making me laugh in this film. Oh,and I cannot forget Aziz Ansari who played Randy, the Middle Eastern looking comedian. He cracked me up. Also Eminem showed up for a cameo appearance in the film, which was also very hilarious.
A brief synopsis of the film follows Ira Wright (Seth Rogan) and George Simmons (Adam Sandler). Ira works in a deli, but is trying to perfect his craft as a stand up comedian Read the rest of this entry »
‘Orphan’ Movie Was ‘On The Edge Of Your Seat’ Horrifying

This new “Orphan” movie which stars Isabelle Fuhrman as Esther absolutely kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Even before she arrived onto the scene, she had me nervous. I was wondering what the hell is this little girl going to do. It also ended with a great twist which cleared up the question, “What is wrong with Esther?”
In a brief synopsis of the film, the Coleman family decide to adopt Esther because she seemed really nice when they met her at the orphanage. They also wanted to adopt a child so they could show it the love they didn’t get to show to the baby that Kate Coleman (Vera Farmiga) miscarried.
However, it turns out that Esther had brought a few issues along with her to the Coleman home. They manifested themselves when Esther acts out by killing a couple of folks, and attempting to kill a few others. Read the rest of this entry »
‘Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince’ Revealed Mysteries

The sixth installment of the Harry Potter franchise “Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince” finally premiered this past Wednesday July 15,2009. I went ,and checked out the movie today July 18,2009. For me, the movie was ok. I’ve certainly seen a lot more action in previous Harry Potter flicks. This one was more about Harry and Dumbledore trying to find out the secrets of Voldemort’s powers, and how he is able to keep on living.
A brief plot of the film reveals that Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) is reunited with his best friends Ron Weasely (Rupert Grint) and Hermione Granger (Emma Watson). They return to the Hogwarts School of Magic. Harry discovers that Draco Malfoy is chosen by the Dark one to kill Dumbledore, and that Professor Severus Snape has taken the unbreakable vow to protect him in his goal or die as a consequence. ‘I Love You,Beth Cooper’ Movie Brought A Crazy Hayden

Hayden Panettiere that is. The NBC “Heroes” star made another film debut in “I Love You,Beth Cooper”,and it really showed us Hayden’s crazy side as Denis Cooverman (Paul Rust) professes his love for her in front of his entire graduation class at their ceremony, after he gets advice from his crazy best friend Rich Munsch (Jack Carpenter).
He also confessed some other things that offended Beth’s crazy boyfriend, a popular high school girl, and a high school bully with a complex who actually ends up crying on Denis’ shoulder in the movie. It was hilarious.
Beth actually thinks what Denis did was kind of cute ,and ends up giving him and his friend the night of their lives while trying to elude her crazy steroid boyfriend Kevin (Shawn Roberts) who just got back from the military, and wants to kill Denis for hanging with his girlfriend and the outrageous comments he made at the graduation ceremony. ‘Bruno’ Movie Delivered Nonstop Laughs

Sacha Baron Cohen’s new comedy movie “Bruno” opened up on Friday July 10,2009,and from there it was laugh on. This movie was way funnier than his last movie “Borat”. The scenes that appear in “Bruno” shocked and astounded me. It was unbelievable what they let slip into this film.
In a brief plot, Bruno the gay, Austrian, model is outcast from his native Austria for his outlandish and wreckless behaviour. No one there would let him back into a modeling show. So it was off to L.A. with his gay assistant Lutz (Gustaf Hammarsten) to become a big Hollywood celebrity. He would soon foil that opportunity up as well with his unbelievable antics which included a hilarious scene with Paula Abdul.
He would also ruin his relationship with his assistant by rejecting his love for him. It was a really gross display, what they did. He tries tons of ridiculous things to become a famous Hollywood celebrity Read the rest of this entry »
