Fox ‘Glee’ Cast played musical chairs with MTV’s Alexa Chung while promoting. The cast of Fox’s new hit TV series, “Glee” showed up on MTV’s “It’s On With Alexa Chung” earlier this week to promote their new album entitled, “Glee: The Music,Volume 1.”

They had a lot of fun by kicking the show off with a round of “Musical Chairs” to one of the songs from their new sound track, and I have to shamely admit that I rather enjoyed watching them play the old childhood game.

I really wanted to see who would win,lol !!! Diana Agron who plays Quinn on the show, ended up winning.

Then, they had a sitdown,and talked with Alexa for a little bit. The first thing they revealed was that only one member of the group was actually in a high school glee club.

They talked about how they’re going to do a show full of only “Madonna” songs. To conclude,they watched a singing video that a fan named Sam sent in. He was really good,and was in the crowd. He came on stage and sung for the “Glee” cast. He did a pretty good job.

According to recent reports, Roxy Olin is set to join Whitney Port on the new season of MTV’s “The City.” She will be moving in with Whitney Port, Tuesday on the season premiere.

Olin recently gave an interview with People magazine,and discussed her new venture of being on “The City.” She said, “Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve liked to perform. I like the attention; I’ll be honest. Whitney is so used to it that I had to jump in really quickly to get as comfortable as she is.”

She also commented on how her and Whitney are really good friends. She stated, “They’re only showing one part of who I am. They make me out to be a little b—-, but I’m not really at all. And Whitney is one of my best friends in the world. We live together and we’re really close, and I think having that relationship with her and having her show me the way was okay.”

According to Hollywood Reporter, MTV has ordered a TV show pilot presentation order for the reinvention of the classic 1980’s movie, “Teen Wolf” which starred Michael J. Fox. He played a teenager who discovers he is a werewolf and parties it up in the comedy.

MTV’s version of it, is reported to be set in high school,and will explore werewolf mythology and include a romantic plot line.

Liz Gateley who is the senior vp of MTV series development stated, “It has a fresh take and is very different from the original.It has more of an ‘American Werewolf in London’ feel to it. It’s a dramatic thriller with two best friends in the center who provide a great comedy element: They are two very relatable characters on the outer circles of popular cliques.”

The new MTV version of “Teen Wolf” is written by “Criminal Minds” creator Jeff Davis. There is no information as of yet, to when the show will begin.

For 2009,anyways. The Canadian born actor turned rapper Drake who has just signed with Lil Wayne’s label, has been honored by MTV’s Mixtape Daily as the 2009 best mixtape of the year . His mix tape “So Far Gone” which contains his hit “Best I Ever Had” has garnered praise from fans and peers like : Jay-Z and Kanye West.

Drake recently made a statement about the MTV Mixtape Award, saying, “I’m honored by the accolade given to me by Mixtape Daily and just by all the stuff that’s going on. I feel like I just spent a lot of years so in tune with music that I really love. Whether it be R&B, whether it be jazz, whether it be rap, whatever. I think So Far Gone was me finding myself as a person and then finding a way to balance all these things that I love and figuring out truly what it is that I’m good at. I think once you find a rhythm or a formula as an artist, it starts to connect with people. You know, people are like, ‘OK, he’s doing his thing.’ That’s important to do your thing. You can’t be doing what so-and-so is doing or do something that doesn’t fit you. … The best part about finding that rhythm was just being honest. Honesty, you know, rapping about my life and things that occur on a daily basis. So when I draw inspiration, I really can draw from my life, not go make something up or hear someone else’s story. “

Drake also said that he thinks it’s important for the mixtape to stay separate from his debut album entitled “Thank Me Later” which is set to debute sometime in 2010. However, he says he’s happy that he was able to release his first songs for free to his fans.

Thehollywoodgossip.com is currently reporting that Lo Bosworth was seen at the Verizon Wireless Matt Leinart Foundation event at Lucky Strikes & Lounge in L.A. with Scott Hochstadt who is a lacrosse player.

They said an onlooker stated, “They we’re so cute together.” They also said a friend of Lo Bosworth stated, “It’s new but they are both really happy.”

Lo Bosworth is currently filming season 5 part 2 of MTV’s “The Hills” which is on tap to start airing this fall September 29,2009. MTV just finished airing season 5 part 1 on May 31,2009,and then ordered 10 more episodes of the show on April 28,2009.

Entertainment Weekly has labeled the show a “New Classic” ranking it 82nd on a list of The 100 Best Shows of the Last 25 Years.

According to Hollywood Reporter,British comedian and actor Russell Brand is set to host the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. This will be his second consecutive year to host the show. The show is reported to be held in New York on September 13,2009.

It’s going to be staged at Radio City Music Hall where the 2006 VMA’s took place. Last year the show was hosted in Los Angeles, California. MTV has confirmed that country music star Taylor Swift will be performing. The other performers and nominees will be announced at a later date.

MTV Networks has rehired superstar actress and singer Jessica Simpson to return and do a whole new reality show for them entitled “The Price of Beauty”. In the show, Jessica will travel all over the world to meet every day women as well as some local pop culture icons. She will also study local fashions,dietary fads and beauty regimes. She will also participate in some of the extreme practices she discovers.

She stated, “I have always believed that beauty comes from within and confidence will always make a woman beautiful, but I know how much pressure some women put on themselves to look perfect.” “The Price of Beauty” is set to be released sometime in 2010,and is set to begin filming in mid July 2009. It will air on VH1. Jessica Simpson,her father Joe Simpson,Chris Coelen,Claire O’Donohoe, Greg Goldman,Jeff Olde, Jill Holmes, Alex Demyanenko and Sean Boyle from VH1 will be producing the show.

Her previous show on MTV Networks occurred about 6 years ago when she did a reality show with her ex husband Nick Lachey entitled “Newlyweds : Nick & Jessica”.

MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew ” will return for a third season on January 15,2009 bringing back Mario Lopez as the host along with judges, Lil Mama(rapper),J.C. Chasez(singer/songwriter and former Nsync member),and Shane Sparks(Super dance choreographer). The show will keep the same format that it had in it’s previous two seasons. The dance teams will compete for the audience’s votes,and the judges will decide which one of the two lowest scoring crews will get sent home. The last crew standing will be awarded a grand prize of $100,000 and boasting rights as “Best Dance Crew” current title holders.

MTV promises that this will be one of the most demanding seasons yet as they will incorporate new challenges for the dance crews. The show has done pretty well for the network by bringing in strong ratings of around 2 million viewers last summer with more than 70 percent being it’s target demographic of teenagers and young adults.The show is also produced by American Idol judge,Randy Jackson. The past two winning crews were, JabbaWockeeZ and SuperCr3w.

I caught a glimpse of this show a couple of times, and I must say that it’s a pretty exciting show to watch . I really got into it,and that Lil Mama chic don’t play. Man,I would hate to piss her off. I get a sense that,that would be the last mistake I would ever make if I did,lol!! She’s roughneck chic. I also remember ole Mario Lopez from the “Saved by the Bell” days. He loves to get those hosting gigs these days. Everything I see him in is some kind of a hosting job. I also always wondered where Shane Sparks went when he didn’t show up on last season’s “So You Think You Can Dance”. Now I know he’s been busy with this project. I liked some of J.C. Chasez solo stuff,but obviously it never took off like his group member,Justin Timberlake. Oh,well maybe they’ll do a reunion one day or something. Well, all you “America’s Best Dance Crew” fans have something to smile about now.

Ashton Kutcher’s reality show “Beauty and the Geek” which started back in 2005 on the WB network,then moved to the CW network after the WB merged with UPN is currently in negotiations to be moved to MTV. MTV wants a celebrity version of the show where geeks compete for semi famous hot chicks. While the negotiations aren’t fully complete,they have already started casting for the show. The celebrity girls will probably be at star levels of Real World contestants and Playboy Playmates which for a geek I’m sure is way more than sufficient.
