MTV Networks has rehired superstar actress and singer Jessica Simpson to return and do a whole new reality show for them entitled “The Price of Beauty”. In the show, Jessica will travel all over the world to meet every day women as well as some local pop culture icons. She will also study local fashions,dietary fads and beauty regimes. She will also participate in some of the extreme practices she discovers.

She stated, “I have always believed that beauty comes from within and confidence will always make a woman beautiful, but I know how much pressure some women put on themselves to look perfect.” “The Price of Beauty” is set to be released sometime in 2010,and is set to begin filming in mid July 2009. Last night (4-22-09) on American Idol. The seven finalist kicked off the double elimination show with a Paula Abdul choreographed routine. Then they got right down to business with the eliminations which involved Lil Rounds quickly being told that it was the end of the road for her. I actually kind of thought that sucked because she was a very good singer, but I suspect America has chosen their favorites at this point ,and they just won’t budge as Anoop and Lil have been in the final three for I don’t know how long now. Get ready people cause on January 7,2008 the fear will become real. Well, at least for thirteen reality show contestants it will be. The CW network is coming out with a new and somewhat interesting new reality show entitled, “13: Fear is Real”. The show will drop thirteen unsuspecting teens into the Louisiana Bayou to go on a journey of challenges and games designed to frighten the bejesus out of them along the way. It can be best described as the “Blair Witch Project” as a reality show. Each contestant will hypothetically be killed off or eliminated. Read the rest of this entry »

Ashton Kutcher’s reality show “Beauty and the Geek” which started back in 2005 on the WB network,then moved to the CW network after the WB merged with UPN is currently in negotiations to be moved to MTV. MTV wants a celebrity version of the show where geeks compete for semi famous hot chicks. While the negotiations aren’t fully complete,they have already started casting for the show. The celebrity girls will probably be at star levels of Real World contestants and Playboy Playmates which for a geek I’m sure is way more than sufficient.

CBS has announced that Big Brother 11 will air but not until the summer of 2009. Due to the writer’s strike that occured earlier in 2008 CBS gave Big Brother the opportunity to air a fall installment of the popular summer reality show which was Big Brother 9 themed,”Till Death Do Us Part”( which was a great season by the way).

They immediately followed it up with their regular summer edition,Big Brother 10(which was awsome) in the summer of 2008. Read the rest of this entry »
