‘Robin Hood’ movie delivered lots of drama,action & dialogue. Universal Pictures released their new version of the action/adventure/drama movie “Robin Hood” this weekend,and the storyline ran a little slow for my taste,it contained a lot of drama and action towards the end,but way too much dialogue for my personal taste. It stars: Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, William Hurt, Matthew Macfadyen, Mark Strong, Oscar Isaac, Lea Seydoux, Scott Grimes, Kevin Durand, Alan Doyle, Danny Huston, and Max von Sydow.

Robin Hood revolved around character Robin Longstride aka Robin Hood (Russell Crowe). In the beginning, he was only interested in own self-preservation from his service in King Richard’s army against the French. Top movie critics gave new ‘Robin Hood’ movie “OK” reviews. Universal Pictures released their new version of the classic tale “Robin Hood” movie into theaters today,and the top movie critics pretty much just thought it was “OK” overall,giving it Bs and Cs across the board. The movie stars: Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, William Hurt, Matthew Macfadyen, Mark Strong, Oscar Isaac, Lea Seydoux, Scott Grimes, Kevin Durand, Alan Doyle, Danny Huston, and Max von Sydow.

Roger Ebert at the Chicago Sun-Times gave it a C rating. He said, “Robin Hood is a high-tech and well made violent action picture.” Geoff Berkshire over at the Chicago Tribune gave it a B- rating. He stated, it “Delivered with competence and class.” Read the rest of this entry »

Universal releases new ‘Robin Hood’ Super Bowl trailer & it’s intense. Universal Pictures released the Super Bowl movie trailer for it’s newest version of the action/adventure flick, “Robin Hood” starring Oscar Award winning Russell Crowe. The trailer (below) looks pretty intense and heavy. Danny Huston recent star of “X-Men Origins : Wolverine” as William Stryker,has been recently hired by Universal and Imagine studios to play the historical figure King Richard in their new remaking of the “Robin Hood” movie.

Russell Crowe is playing the legendary folk hero Robin Hood. Ridley Scott is directing it. It is written by Ethan Reiff & Cyrus Voris and Brian Helgeland. Brian Grazer who works for Imagine Studios is producing the film along with Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe. “Robin Hood” is set to be released on May 14,2010.

Along with “X-Men Origins : Wolverine”, Danny Huston’s acting resume will also include the upcoming “Clash of the Titans” movie. He will be playing Poseidon in it. Read the rest of this entry »
