The CW has recently released a new publicity photo (above) of Tom Welling as Clark Kent in his new black super suit that he’ll be sporting in “Smallville” season 9. There have been reports that he resembles Batman or Neo from “The Matrix.” I personally would go with the latter,in Neo.
The CW has released a new 1 minute promo for their upcoming “Smallville” season 9,and it looks like Clark is really starting to embrace his Kryptonian side aka “Superman”. In the promo (below), we hear a nice “lead in” with Clark saying, “There is no Clark Kent. I wear the symbol to remind myself that I have a different destiny.”

The CW has been doing some more casting for “Smallville” season 9 according to Zap2it. This time it’s for characters, Zan and Jayna who are “Wonder Twins” who can communicate telepathically.
Zan can take the form of water in any state like, solid, liquid,or gas. Jayna can take the form of any animal. Their signature move is to bump fists, and say,”Wonder Twin powers, activate !”

According to Smallville’s producer Brian Peterson, Clark (Tom Welling) and Lois (Erica Durance) will be fighting zombies and starting a little romance in Smallville’s upcoming 9th season.
Peterson said, “Clark and Lois will be back in each other’s orbits and there will be a lot of the fun that we had last year—even more than we had last year. Lois and Clark are “in the trenches fighting zombies. And when they catch their breath from fighting zombies, romantic sparks will fly.”

People who attended the recent 2009 Comic-Con event were able to capture the new “Smallville” season 9 promo (below) that was shown there, and I must say the new season looks awesome.
The trailer isn’t the best quality since it was captured with a camera phone, but you can pretty much make out what’s going. As it goes further the quality does get a bit better.
The first half of the trailer shows some steamy scenes between Clark and Lois, and Clark working at the daily Planet. It also shows some scenes with him and Chloe as well.
