On the July 9,2009 “So You Think You Can Dance” elimination show,the contestants started of with a performance to a song called “Seven Nation Army” choreographed by Tabitha & Napoleon.The song had a really nice beat too. They talked about how this is the last week that the judges have a final say on the results because after this week they’re down to the final 10 contestants.

“So You Think You Can Dance” July 2, 2009 elimination show started of with a performance from the contestants to a song entitled “Brand New Day” by The Whiz.

Then Kat Deeley introduced the judges,and they got right down to business and reviewed the first two couple’s performances from last night. Karla Garcia & Vitolio Jeune were revealed to be in the bottom three leading into the first break. After they returned from the break, they reviewed the next set of couple’s performances.

According to reports, the former “Dawson’s Creek” star and current wife of Tom Cruise, is set to perform on Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance’s” 100th episode which will air on July 23,2009.

Katie, is performing to pay homage to Judy Garland. She’s going to sing and dance to the Judy Garland song “Get Happy”. It’s reported that her performance is supposed to promote the new foundation called, “Dizzy Feet” which she formed with Nigel Lythgoe and “Dancing With The Stars ” judge Carrie Ann Inaba.

The foundation supports dance education,programs,and talented dancers who can’t afford training.

The Thursday June 25,2009 elimination show of “So You Think You Can Dance” started off with a routine from the dancers to a song called “I Know You Want Me”. Nigel , then took the time to honor entertainers : Michael Jackson, Farah Fawcett, and Ed McMahon due to their passing this week. They also showed Michael Jackson’s classic “Thriller” video leading into the first break.

Then after the break, they got right down to the results. They reviewed the first set of couples, and Vitolio Jeune & Asuka Kondoh, were revealed to be in the bottom three.

The June 18,2009 “So You Think You Can Dance” elimination show started out with a routine choreographed by Mia Michaels to a Stevie Wonder song.After that, they had a good laugh over Lil C’s wide vocabulary that he displayed the night before on the performance show. Then they got right down to the voting results. After reviewing the first three couple’s performances, Caitlin Kinney and Jason Glover were the first couple revealed to be in the bottom three.

Then they got started reviewing the next three couple’s performances. After reviewing them, Kupono Aweau and Ashley Valerio were revealed to be the next couple in the bottom three,and must dance for their lives. “So You Think You Can Dance” cut it’s first two from the top 20 Thursday night (6-11-09). The unfortunate victims were Paris Torres and Tony Bellissimo.
The group had apparently started the show off with a dance routine choreographed by Shane Sparks who’s been MIA since leaving for MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew”. Mary Murphy was unusually loud last night,and would scream directly into Nigel’s face a couple of times which was pretty funny. Sean Kingston performed his new single ” Fire Burning The Dance Floor” which I wasn’t to crazy about. I’ve never really been a fan of Sean Kingston,though. Read the rest of this entry »

Fox’s hit show “So You Think You Can Dance” decided to cut a short little video on Mary Murphy and why she calls the dancers “Hot Tamale’s”,and discuss what exactly is the “Hot Tamale Train”.

The clip starts off with Mary Murphy telling two contestants that they have two tickets on the “Hot Tamale Train”. Then it shows her doing her really loud scream. Then Nigel Lythgoe states that he doesn’t really know what a “Hot Tamale Train” is. Cat Deeley says it’s something good,but aside from that, she has no idea what it means.Nigel says he would never want to get on it, especially if Mary was screaming on it. On Wednesday June 3,2009 the “So You Think You Can Dance” panel of judges which consisted of : Debbie Allen, Adam Shankman, Mia Michaels and Lil C, Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy took the top 32 contestants in Las Vegas,and squeezed out their top 20 contestants from the pack. The top 20 will get their chance to compete on the show,and one of them will eventually be able to claim the title of “best dancer” in the world for 2009. Read the rest of this entry »
