New ‘Twitter’ TV Show Is In The Works
The ever growing, popular “Twitter” website may be expanding it’s roots to a tv show in the future. According to my sources, “Twitter” is collaborating with Reveille Productions (who are responsible for “The Office” and “Ugly Betty” tv shows) and Brillstein Entertainment Partners to develop an unscripted tv series. There is not too much more information on this project as of yet, bu the show producers announced yesterday (May 25,2009) that it would use the site to put players on the trail of celebrities in an interactive,competitive format.
The head of Reveille Productions said that once a network deal is signed, they’ll be ready to go into production. Read the rest of this entry »
Ashton Kutcher Kicked CNN’s Butt on ‘Twitter’
On late Thursday, Ashton Kutcher, the former “That 70′s Show” actor and former host of MTV’s “Punk’d” edged out the giant news media company, CNN to be the first to get a million followers on “Twitter”. I knew someone would have a contest like this. It’s like when Myspace first started to become really popular,and everyone would brag about how many friends they had. Anyways, he was able to win the coveted million, Twitter, follower crown by becoming the ringleader of a frenetic digital circus act which included Larry King,video game maker Electronic Arts Inc., a 25 year old Web developer from London,and a ton of online participants.
The winner of the contest agreed to donate 10,000 mosquito nets to charity for World Malaria Day on April 25,2009. On Wednesday. Kutcher had like 50,000 fewer visitors than CNN. Read the rest of this entry »
Britney Spears is Closing in on Top ‘Twitter’ Spot
So I was reading over at accesshollywood.com that Britney Spears is in like 4th place on Twitter for the most amount of followers with 364,219. Also I just checked, it’s now up to 407,250, and they published the story earlier today. Fuckin amazing ! That’s like over 40,000 added in just one day. They said she only trails Twitter’s own official feed in 3rd place, Barack Obama in 2nd place, and CNN’s Breaking News which holds the coveted first place price right now,but they all better watch out cause Britney’s gaining on them, and fast,really fast.
It is just so unreal to me, the amount of press this girl gets. I mean even when she first came out back in like the late 90′s or whenever it was. I was like,why in the hell are all these people making such a fuss over her . Read the rest of this entry »
