“Yes Man” won box office honors this week with $18.2 million in sales over the three day weekend beating out Will Smith’s “Seven Pounds” which came in at a slim $16 million. One of Will’s worst openings in seven years. The Warner Bros released film, “Yes Man” cost about $70 million to make so they hope to make the money back in the following weeks. They blame holiday distractions and bad weather for it not doing more than it did.

“Yes Man” was crazy funny ! It stars Jim Carrey as Carl Allen, a guy that basically says “No” to everything because of issues that he has after his divorce from his wife three years prior. He works at a bank as a loan officer who declines almost every loan,and comes up with silly but very hilarious excuses as to why he can’t go out when his friends, Peter (Bradley Cooper) and Rooney (Danny Masterson) ask him to,or any other opportunity that arises. All his excuses eventually lead to the proverbial answer which is,”No”. Then finally one day after realizing he needs a bit of a change to his life he decides to attend a self help seminar that an old friend named, Nick (John Michael Higgins) had introduced to him earlier. Here is the movie trailer for the new Jim Carey comedy,”Yes Man” coming out in a couple of weeks. It stars : Jim Carrey, Zooey Deschanel, Bradley Cooper, Rhys Darby, John Michael Higgins, Danny Masterson, Terence Stamp. It looks like it’s gonna be pretty funny so I’ll definately go check it out.

The Plot : Jim Carey plays a guy named, Carl Allen who always says “No” to everything which consequently is taking his life nowhere. Then one day he decides to sign up for a self help program which teaches one simple principle,”Say yes to everything”. Initially he finds that this new technique takes his life in new, exciting directions like getting him promoted at work and finding romance. Eventually,though he starts to realize the pitfalls that arise with saying “Yes” to everything.
