Zac Efron seen leaving Charlie St. Cloud movie set to head back to L.A.. The ultra movie star, Zac Efron was seen here, in this photo (above) getting ready to catch a flight out of Vancouver,Canada, to head back to Los Angeles, CA.

He has been over there filming a movie called, “The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud” for the past four months.

In the photo (above), he’s sporting a black t-shirt,jeans,and the sunglasses,looking very casual and cool.

He reportedly kept a very low profile,while over there, by avoiding paparazzi,high traffic,and spotlight soliciting activities. He focused mostly on his craft,instead of flying back and forth from Los Angeles every chance he got.

He’s reportedly taking some advice from actor, Leonardo DiCaprio, which is to let them know nothing,do not engage,it helps as an actor to remain ,as much as possible,an enigma. And to be seen as infrequently as possible offscreen.

Freestyle Releasing is Featuring Zac Efron in new more dramatic role for their “Me and Orson Welles” movie. They’ve released a new movie trailer for it (below). It also stars : Claire Danes, Christian McKay, Ben Chaplin, Kelly Reilly, Eddie Marsan, Leo Bill, Imogen Poots, and Aidan McArdle.

“Me and Orson Welles” is based on a novel by Robert Kaplow, which is a story set in the world of the New York Theatre.Zac Efron plays a teenage student named Richard Samuels who gets lucky enough to play a minor role in the 1937 Mercury Theatre production of “Julius Caesar,” which is directed by a 22 year old genius named Orson Welles.

Richard has decided that he’ll work for free,and also has few uncomfortable run-ins with Orson Wells on the set. Robert Kaplow describes the story the best with the following : “This is the story of one week in my life. I was seventeen. It was the week I slept in Orson Welles’s pajamas. It was the week I fell in love. It was the week I fell out of love.”

“Me and Orson Welles” hits theaters on November 25,2009.

“High School Musical” and “17 Again” star Zac Efron is set to make a cameo appearance on HBO’s Entourage in their upcoming season according to my sources. He was seen filming his cameo scenes yesterday (6-2-09) at the Niketown store in Beverly Hills according to one source. He was apparently filming a scene while talking on his cell phone according to one of the Niketown employees. None of the other cast members from “Entourage” were there,but they said that Zac was really nice.

Other big names that are slated to appear on “Entourage” this season are Tom Brady, Lil Wayne, and LeBron James. Kevin Dillon who’s an Entourage regular,said it wasn’t always easy to get celebrities to appear on the show,but then after they got Val Kilmer to appear, it became pretty easy. “Entourage” 6th season is supposed to start airing July 12,2009 on none other than, HBO.

MTV caught up to “High School Musical” and “17 Again” star Zac Efron after the 2009 MTV Movie Awards last night and asked him what he thought of the Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s “Best Kiss” award,about “Twilight” being “High School Musical’s” main competitors,and if he liked the “Twilight” movie or was it just for girls. Zac replied stating that he thought “Twilight” was a great film,and that the kiss was great,and that “High School Musical” was at a disadvantage in that area this year.

Zac sure said all the right things. He’s now gonna have all the “Twilight” fans join his already huge fanbase if they’re haven’t, already.

As most of you know by now, “Gossip Girl” star, Chase Crawford has replaced Zac Efron for the new ‘Footloose’ remake being produced by Paramount Pictures. Now, according to reports, Zac Efron stated in a recent interview, “I’ve always thought Footloose was a great project and Chase is an amazing choice,”’ .”I can’t wait to see it !”

Also Chase said in an interview that he knows Zac,and they are actually friends. He went on to state, “I know Zac and we’re actually friends.” He’s gotta make the best choice for his career at this point and I have to make the best for mine and luckily it worked out for both of us.”

Zac is currently the star of New Line Cinema’s “17 Again” which is a hilarious comedy,actually. I wouldn’t mind watching it again.

The “Footloose” remake is currently set to start filming in March of 2010 and hopefully be released before the end of the year.

Zac Efron, star of the recent New line Cinema hit, “17 Again” is all set to present the Generation Award to Ben Stiller at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards on May 31,2009. On Friday May 22,2009 it was confirmed that Ben Stiller would receive the coveted award this year. Ben Stiller is being rewarded for his 20 years of comedic creations. Some of his many movie roles include: Derek Zoolander,Gaylord Focker,Tugg Speedman in “Tropic Thunder”,etc. He is also nominated in a new category called best WTF moment for the “Tropic Thunder” scene when he taste the decapitated head of Steve Coogan’s character, Damien Cockburn.

Ben Stiller made the following statement about receiving the Generation award. “I am honored to be getting the Generation Award,” Stiller said. “I was given my first show at MTV and also canceled for the first time. I also was secretly having an affair with J.J. Jackson, so it brings back pleasant memories.”

MTV’s president, Van Toffler stated that he is the perfect recipient for the award for his many characters over the years. His Generation Award reception includes him in a line of other popular actors that have received the award which include : Adam Sandler, Mike Myers, Tom Cruise and Jim Carrey.

Well, it looks like Warner Bros. has made it’s decision in who will play Johnny Quest in their new well, “Johnny Quest” movie. It’s none other than Zac Efron . Two things surprise me with this news . The first being that Warner Bros might not be sticking with the “Johnny Quest” name which to me seems like the whole point. Ya know ? The whole “cash in on the name” thing. Anyways this is the second franchise to do this. First with the “Karate Kid” changing to the “Kung Fu Kid”, and now this.

Apparently the supposed Warner Bros. thinking is that, to many people will confuse it with the popular cartoon version, and not go see it. I don’t really know about that,but what I do think is that if they change the name, they’ve got a definite uphill battle to climb in terms of marketing as it will have no name recognition. Of course they can market Zac Efron all over the place, but wouldn’t it be even better if they could market “Johnny Quest” and Zac Efron together ? I think so.

Then the other thing. I thought Zac was trying to go for more serious roles by getting away from “Footloose”. I personally think “FootLoose” would have served him much better . He was made for that role in my opinion. Oh, well. Also joining the cast of “Johnny Quest” alongside Efron is Dwayne Johnson also known better as “The Rock” . He will play the brawny version of pilot and man-of-action, Race Bannon. Dang, Dwayne Johnson sure is becoming quite versatile as an actor or just needs the money. Either way he’s sarting to show up in a plethora of films here lately.

According to “The Wrap” Zac Efron told Paramount studios that he is no longer interested in doing another musical at this point in his career. He had script approval on the movie, and used a rewrite on the screenplay as a loophole to get out of his contract. There were a lot of people who had been working on the “Footloose” project since last July, and they were all very shocked when they got the news. Even though Zac is out of “Footloose”, Paramount still wants to go ahead with the film because they ‘ve wanted to see a remake of this film for a long time, and feel confident that their people, Kenny Ortega, Neil Meron and Craig Zaden can make it work.

I’m not sure who’ll they’ll get to replace Zac Efron,but I do think he would have been the main attraction to the film. I’ve also wanted to see a remake of this movie, but I was also totally looking forward to seeing Zac play the lead role also. Most of Zac’s success has been in musical roles with the “High School Musical” franchise and the 2007 musical “Hairspray” remake. He’s now looking to take on more serious roles,and will do so in a film called ” Me and Orson Wells” that was supposed to be released in 2008, but for some reason it didn’t. He’ll also be in the upcoming comedy “17 Again”.

I don’t know. I think this “Footloose” deal would’ve been an opportunity for him to make his name even bigger especially since it would have been associated with likes of Kevin Bacon. Oh, well . The new “Footloose” was scheduled for a 2010 release date,and had a budget of well over $20 million. I guess only time will tell what will become of it. I personally think that he shouldn’t have bailed on it . It sounds like there were other people involved in his decision, encouraging him to drop it, I bet.

Mr. Zac Efron is doing a remake of the 1984 classic,”Footloose” for Paramount and is reported by Celebrity-Gossip.net to make about $10 milllion for the film. Peter Sollett the director of “Nick and Norah’s infinite playlist” is going to rewrite the script. Craig Zadan, who worked as a producer on the original Footloose film, will be back to produce the remake. It will have a mixture of new songs and old songs like Bonnie Tyler’s “Holding out for a Hero”. The now, 50 yr old actor, Kevin Bacon gave Efron his blessing for the film stating that he’s a good choice and is very talented. He is also reported by Celebrity-Gossip.net to make about $12 million to star along side Johnny Depp in “Pirates of the Caribbean 4″.

This guy is starting to show up everywhere and with his role in the Footloose remake following in the footsteps of Kevin Bacon, who knows we may see a game called “Six degrees of Efron” one day just like the now popular “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon” game.

“Footloose” is reported to be released sometime in 2010 and “Pirates of the Caribbean 4″ in 2012. Hopefully “Pirates” will move up that date as that is currently a long 4 years off.
