New Empire Season 4, Episode 5 Is Getting Delayed
Hey, “Empire” fans. Unfortunately, we have some pretty bad news to deliver in this article. It turns out that it’s that time of year again where your favorite show is going to have to take a back seat to FOX’s coverage of the Major League Baseball World Series.
Yep, that’s right. The upcoming episode 5 of this current season 4 is getting delayed for a possible two weeks! It’s definitely not going to air next Wednesday, October 25,2017 due to FOX covering the big Game 2 of the World Series.
What could make this even worse is if the series is driven to seven games. That means the show would not air on Wednesday night, November 1,2017 as well! This is a big “if” though. It has happened in the past. In fact, it just happened last year causing Empire to be delayed for two weeks.
We certainly hope that doesn’t happen this year, but it’s definitely possible that it could. The one thing that you guys can be absolutely sure of is that episode 5 will air after the World Series is over. If it doesn’t go to a game 7, it will air on Wednesday night, November 1,2017. If the World Series does get pushed to a game 7, it will air on Wednesday night, November 8,2017. So, definitely be sure to mark that important information down on your TV calendars.
The World Series of Major League Baseball is a huge event. This year will mark the 113th edition of it. It’s a best of seven-game series. The first team to win four games, wins it. As of right now, it’s going to be between the National League champions, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the American League champions which will be either the New York Yankees or the Houston Astros.
If any of you guys are baseball fans,this shouldn’t bother you too much. If you aren’t, you’ll definitely want to make other plans for next Wednesday, October 25,2017 and possibly for Wednesday, November 1,2017. We’ll keep updating this post to give you guys the status on that.
Alright, so now that we’ve gotten that horrible news out of the way, it’s time to fill you guys in on what to expect in the upcoming episode 5 of Empire season 4. FOX did put out their episode press release for it which features a brief preview description.
First off, episode 5 is revealed to be titled,”The Fool.” Fox began their official description with all capital words that say, “The SECRET IS OUT ON AN ALL-NEW “EMPIRE” WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 1, ON FOX.” So, it already sounds very intriguing.
The first thing they revealed in their main description is the whole Lucious memory situation. They’re telling us that the secret about Lucious losing his memory is going to get exposed. This will prompt Cookie to devise a way to make the board think Lucious is fine.
In her efforts to convince them, she’s going to invite the media and press to watch him produce the first 20 for 20 albums. We can see so many things that could go wrong with this plan. Our question is will it backfire on Cookie?
Unfortunately, FOX didn’t reveal any other info about it. So, we’re definitely going to have to wait until it airs to find all that out. It definitely sounds like it could offer up a ton of suspense. There’s no doubt about that.
Next, FOX revealed that we’re going to see the return of character Eddie Barker played by guest star Forest Whitaker. It turns out that he will show up in an effort to help Lucious get his groove back, and to make music in the studio. Will Eddie be able to pull it off? That’s the major question for this storyline. It sounds like it could give us some very interesting scenes.
In this third teaser, we learn that Andre could be in for quite a surprise when it comes to Detective Pamela Rose. Apparently, his feelings for her are going to get very intense. But, when they do, she’s going to reveal some new information that’s been discovered in regards to the crazy explosion that nearly killed Lucious! Since Andre played a part in it, that’s definitely going to pose a potential problem for him.
What is this new information that pops up? That’s the burning question for this particular scenario. This storyline could definitely make things extremely interesting. We’ll have to wait to see how it continues to develop.
FOX revealed that we’ll also see Hakeem in this episode, and it doesn’t sound like he’ll be having too good of a time. Their description tells us that he’s going to continue to worry about his secret involvement with the ruthless DuBois family. So, that sounds like it could get pretty serious and even more intense.
Lastly, FOX’s description reveals that Claudia played by guest star Demi Moore will also be in action again. This time, we’re going to see something much different take place as they say she’s going to help Lucious with a breakthrough.
The obvious big question here is what is this breakthrough that Lucious has? Is he finally going to start getting his memory back? We certainly hope so because he is looking really lame these days. Whatever the case, it sounds like that could be a very intriguing storyline. We’ll have to wait and see.
Episode 5 is going to feature season regulars: Terrence Howard as character Lucious Lyon, Taraji P. Henson as character Cookie Lyon, Jussie Smollett as character Jamal Lyon, Bryshere ‘Yazz’ Gray as character Hakeem Lyon, Trai Byers as character Andre Lyon.
Grace Byers as character Anika, Gabourey Sidibe as character Becky, Ta’Rhonda Jones as character Porsha, Serayah McNeill as character Tiana, Xzibit as character Shine Johnson, Andre Royo as character Thurston “Thirsty” Rawlings, Rumer Willis as character Tory Ash and Terrell Carter as character Warren Hall.
A couple of guest stars will also be featured in this episode. They are: Forest Whitaker as character Eddie Barker, Taye Diggs as character Angelo DuBois, Phylicia Rashad as character Diana DuBois, Demi Moore as character Claudia, Marcell Johnson as character Marcel, Ashley Livingston as character Chicken.
Teyonah Parris as character Pamela Rose, Veronika Bozeman as character Veronica, Sara Sevigny as character Edna, Will Kinnear as character Leonard Bernstein, Ira Amyx as character Skip Shepherd, Harvey Levin as Himself, Charles G. Latibeaudiere as Himself, Bryan Terrell Clark as character Tony and Raj Bond as character Calvin Moore.
Additionally, FOX released some promotional photos for the upcoming episode 5. Eddie is seen in separate scenes with Cookie and Lucious. Lucious is seen having another one of those interesting conversations with Demi Moore’s character Claudia. It looks like that may be where Lucious has his breakthrough.
Jamal is seen working in the studio with Becky and some other guy. Hakeem is one of the photos, and it looks like a pretty intense scene. There’s a solo pic of Shine smiling from ear to ear. You guys can view all the episode 5 promotional pictures at Spoiler TV’s site by Clicking Here.
FOX also released a preview clip for episode 5. It features a scene that shows Cookie and Hakeem having another one of their arguments. He tries to tell her, “I can’t lose Bella!” Cookie fires back with, “And I can’t lose you!”
There’s another extremely interesting scene with Lucious and Claudia. She asks him, “Do you understand what’s happening?” Lucious responds in a very angry tone,”I remember you.” It really looked like the old Lucious is back in that scene. So, look out for that.
Tiana is seen singing in one of the scenes while Lucious has a conversation with Eddie in the recording booth. Cookie is featured in another intense scene running in yelling, “We have a problem.” There’s an interesting scene where Claudia tells Lucious, “I’m not afraid of Cookie.”
The clip caps off with Cookie telling Hakeem, “We don’t run. We stick together and we fight!” It definitely looks like episode 5 will give us some more very intense and dramatic scenes when it finally does air. You guys can view the new preview clip for episode 5 over at Youtube by Clicking Here.
