New ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 14, March 22, 2018 Episode Storyline Teasers Revealed By ABC

Happy Friday and weekend “Grey’s Anatomy” fans. Now that episode 15 has wrapped up,ABC delivered a couple of new storyline scoops to expect to see in the new, upcoming episode 16 of its current season 14. It turns out that Jackson is going to have to take a break from Maggie. Elsewhere, Jo gives Bailey some help with a trauma patient after she and Meredith run into some issues and more.

The production team have titled episode 16, “Caught Somewhere in Time.” These storyline teasers come from ABC’s press release which starts off in all caps: “IT’S A FAMILY AFFAIR WHEN JACKSON, CATHERINE AND RICHARD PERFORM A GROUNDBREAKING VAGINOPLASTY SURGERY ON A TRANSGENDER PATIENT.”

The press release’s main description tells us that we’ll see Jackson and Maggie having a wonderful time together. However, that’s going to get cut short as Jackson will have to quickly direct his attention to a major vaginoplasty surgery that’s about to take place.

ABC’s description for this storyline reads like this, “Maggie and Jackson are enjoying spending time together, but he must turn his concentration toward the groundbreaking vaginoplasty surgery he has scheduled with Catherine and Richard.”

That plotline definitely sounds like it’ll feature some very intense scenes to look forward to. This second and last storyline teaser reveals that Meredith and Jo will run into some major issues with a contest. In light of this, Jo will redirect her focus to helping out Bailey work on making sure an astronaut makes it through trauma.

ABC’s description tells us, “Meanwhile, Meredith and Jo hit a roadblock with their contest submission. So, Jo helps Bailey with an incoming trauma patient who used to be an astronaut.” That’s another storyline that sounds like it could deliver some pretty dramatic and intense scenes. So, it sounds like the next episode will offer up a couple of big storylines.

The press release does confirm that it’s scheduled to air on Thursday night, March 22, 2018 at approximately 7 pm central standard time on ABC. They also revealed that we’ll see a couple of guest stars in this one. They are: Debbie Allen as character Catherine Avery, Candis Cayne as character Michelle Velez, Jeanine Jason as character Sam Bello, Jake Borelli as character Levi Schmitt, Alex Blue Davis as character Casey Parker, Sophia Taylor Ali as character Dahlia Qadri, Rushi Kota as character Vik Roy and Jaicy Elliot as character Taryn Helm.

Episode 16 will also feature season regulars: Ellen Pompeo as character Meredith Grey, Justin Chambers as character Alex Karev, Chandra Wilson as character Miranda Bailey, James Pickens Jr. as character Richard Webber, Kevin McKidd as character Owen Hunt, Jessica Capshaw as character Arizona Robbins, Jesse Williams as character Jackson Avery, Sarah Drew as character April Kepner, Caterina Scorsone as character Amelia Shepherd, Camilla Luddington as character Jo Wilson, Kelly McCreary as character Maggie Pierce, Jason George as character Ben Warren and Giacomo Gianniotti as character Andrew DeLuca.

Episode 16 was written by Jalysa Conway, and Nicole Rubio was brought on to direct it. ABC also released a preview clip for episode 16, and it features some very steamy moments between Jackson and Maggie. They’re both seen getting their heavy kissing action on while on the job. They end up getting busted by Richard and Catherine at one point too! Yes, it’s a very awkward moment to say the least.

The preview clip goes on to show scenes that will be featured in the new Grey’s Anatomy spin-off show since they’re now paired together on the same night. The spin-off is called, “Station 19,” and it looks pretty wild. It’s got a lot of steamy romance. A big building fire breaks out and everything.
