Empire Spoilers For Season 5, May 8, 2019 Finale Episode 18 Revealed
Hey, “Empire” fans. We hope you guys enjoyed tonight’s episode 17 of this 5th season. Now that it’s officially done and over, it’s time to take a look at what the next, new finale episode of this season will have in store for you guys next week, May 8, 2019.
That’s right. It’s the last episode of this season. The wonderful folks over at FOX were kind enough to dish up a press release for it. So, that is what we’ll be referencing in this spoiler article.
To get everything started, it has been revealed that the producers named episode 18, “The Roughest Day.” Ooh, that doesn’t sound like it’ll be good for anyone does it? It sounds like the season finale episode 18 will feature some very interesting and dramatic scenes as Cookie and Lucious wonder if they can repair their relationship! Andre’s life is still in danger! Empire’s future is in jeopardy! A puzzling mystery gets uncovered and more!
We’ll go ahead and start off this spoiler session with the Cookie and Lucious situation. It turns out that these two will ,once again, be at odds due to their betrayals of one another. But this time, it’s different as they both will ponder, is this the end of them for good?! FOX’s official description tells us, “As Cookie and Lucious deal with each other’s betrayals, they wonder if this could be the end for their relationship.”
Will this really be the last straw for Cookie and Lucious? Or will they just continue their extremely hot and cold relationship? That’s the big question for this particular plotline.
The second spoiler scoop reveals that Andre’s new heart condition as a result of the intense chemo treatments will only be worse as his life is still on the line! FOX’s description tells us, “Andre’s life hangs in the balance.”
Is this really the end for Andre? Is his portrayer Trai Byers leaving the show? Those are the huge questions for this particular situation. We aren’t hearing anything concrete about it. All that’s out there is just rumors. Nothing official. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see to know for sure.
The third spoiler teaser reveals that those annoying as hell Feds are getting awfully close to taking down Empire, and it really may be in quite a bit of danger! FOX’s description tells us,”The future of Empire is in jeopardy as the Feds close in.”
Will the Feds really take down Empire this time? Or will Lucious and company weasel their way out of trouble again? Those are the burning questions for this particular plotline. It does seem quite intriguing.
Last, but most certainly not least, the 4th spoiler scoop reveals that a huge mystery is about to get unraveled! It turns out that we’re finally going to find out who is in that freaking coffin! FOX’s description tells us, “The mystery of who is in the coffin is finally revealed.”
Who will we see in that mystery coffin? That’s is the major question for this particular storyline. It definitely sounds intriguing. We’re very intrigued. Also, we think at least one of these storylines has got to end with a cliffhanger of some sort because we can happily tell you guys that FOX has officially renewed Empire for a brand new season 6!
That’s right, guys. You can pop a cork on those champagne bottles early this year. FOX gave it a somewhat early renewal. We’ll provide more details on that in different article.

FOX’s press release confirmed that episode 18 is indeed scheduled to air next Wednesday night, May 8, 2019 at approximately 7 pm central standard time.
