Afterwards, Howie told Melissa, “It was entertaining and unique.” Gabrielle said, “Henta the rat is a star.” (That was a name of one of Melissa’s rats.) Julianne said,”I like weird.” Simon said, “It was bonkers. I believe rats are actually sweet and have a bad rap.” Melissa got 4 yeses from the judges. So, she’s through to the next round.

Next up, was 12 year old Ansley Burns. She ended up singing a song by Aretha Franklin. Ansley started off with a backing track, but Simon stopped it real quick, claiming it was horrible and that he wanted to hear her sing the song acapella without the backing track.

So, Ansley took a deep breath with the support of the crowd and belted out the notes. Everyone loved it! Afterwards, Simon told her, “You’re a little fighter. You have a great voice.” Howie said, “You’re an amazing person.” Gabrielle said, “You have a great level of professionalism for your age.” Julianne said, “You absolutely crushed it. We’re going to remember you.” Ansley got 4 yeses from the judges.

Next, a magician named SOS hit the stage. He mentioned that his parents were an act on the show back in season 11 for their quick change act and that it inspired him. His act consisted of him basically making cards disappear and reappear in lots of different ways. He even changed the sizes of the cards at one point.

Afterwards, Gabrielle told SOS, “It was like nothing we’ve seen yet this season.” Howie said, “You did a great job.” Julianne said, “It’s a full blown spectacle show.” Simon said, “I loved everything about your presentation.” He got 4 yeses from the judges.

After all that, an 18 year old guitarist named Marcin Patrzalek arrived on stage. After his routine, Gabrielle said, “It was out of this world.” Simon said, “I tried to learn the guitar when I was a kid. So, I really respect your craft. That was amazing.” Julianne said, “I can’t wait to see more of your performances.” Howie said “You murdered the guitar.” Marcin got 4 yeses from the judges.

Next, a comedian by the name of Andy Rowell hit the stage, pretending his act was going to be a karaoke routine, and it was, but with a little twist. He chose the song, “Tequila,” and he only sang the chorus which only has one word.

So, he basically just stood their until his one-word line came up and said, “Tequila.” Everyone loved the music and he, of course, cracked everyone up with the whole concept of his routine.

Afterwards, Simon said “I want to hear a whole album. It was so stupid, I loved it.” Julianne said, “It was brilliant. I’m impressed that your simple bit got the crowd so hype.” Howie said, “Song choice is always important. I loved it.” Andy got 4 yeses from the judges.

After that, the Adem Dance Crew hit the stage with no introduction. They just got right down to business performing their very extreme, robotic dance movement performance. The crowd loved it.
Afterwards, Juliane told them, “The moves were articulate, impactful and tight.” Simon said, “You guys have imagination. I thank you for coming on the show.” Howie said, “You are talent.” Gabrielle said, “You came to slay, and we are deceased.” They got 4 yeses from the judges.

Next, was a singing group called, “Voices Of Service.” They were all veteran or active members of the military. So, that won them brownie points right off the bat. They ended up singing “Rise” by Katy Perry. The crowd loved it.

Afterwards, Howie told them, “Thanks you for your service.” Gabrielle said, “I can’t thank you enough for all of it. What you’re doing is phenomenal.” Simon said, “Your story and message is stunning, and this is what we need right now. You’ve got 4000 yeses.” They got 4 yeses from the judges.

After that, a flute player named RiRia was seen playing the hell out of her flute. The only problem was that it was a flute. After her performance, Julianne said,”You didn’t nail that.” Simon expressed his major disdain for the flute saying, “I just don’t know why that instrument was invented. I can’t think of anyone who would bye a flute record.” RiRia got a no from all the judges.

Next, another flute player hit the stage named Brandon Coprich. His act started off rather boring, but then he busted out the “Pony” track, and he started full on stripping! Simon buzzed him at that point. Not only that, Simon made sure all the other judges buzzers got smashed.

Later, host Terry Crews hit the stage ,shirtless, with Brandon to play the flute since Terry played the flute when he was a child. It was super funny, they both started strip dancing and playing the flute to the “Pony” song. Needless to say, Brandon got a no from all the judges.

A pet psychic named Sonya Fitzpatrick arrived next. She ended up using Julianne in her act. She started telling Julianne a bunch of lame, meaningless things about her dogs. It was very unimpressive, and she got buzzed off. Thank God.

Next, a dog act called, “Dominguez Poodle Review” hit the stage to put on a very lively dog show that involved the dogs jumping through hoops, over hurdles, dancing on their front legs and so on and so forth.

The crowd loved it. Afterwards, Gabrielle told them, “You guys delivered!” Julianne said, “I was losing my mind! That was so fun.” Howie said, “The family is amazing and adorable.” Simon said, “It’s important that people understand that dogs are like humans. The terrier of the bunch doesn’t really do anything. He’s the star.” They got 4 yeses.

From there. they showed two horrible acts. One of them were middle aged ladies singing like chickens who immediately got buzzed. The other one was an acapella group that tried to sing, “Havana.” Simon said, “I hated it.”

After all of that, a beat boxer group called,”Berywam” hit the stage, and delivered a very lively and entertaining performance. The crowd loved their mixture of beats and sounds.

Afterwards, Gabrielle told them, “It was amazing. I had so much fun.” Howie said, “It was exciting and unexpected.” Julianne said,”You changed tempo several times.” Simon said, “I think you could put DJs out of business. This is ahead of the times. You’re cool Pentatonix. You guys didn’t even need a track.” They got 4 yeses.

Lastly, a choir called the “Detroit Youth Choir” hit the stage. The members of the coir consisted of a bunch of kids between the ages of 8 and 18. They delivered a very moving and entertaining performance of singing, dancing and rapping. The crowd loved it.

Afterwards, Howie told them, “This was your moment. I love you all.” Julianne said, “You guys came together and created something. I love it.” Simon said, “You guys could win.” Then host Terry Crews interrupted to give them the Golden buzzer! That means the “Detroit Youth Choir” will automatically go straight through to the LIVE shows.

That was it for the auditions in tonight’s episode 4. Next week’s episode 5 will feature another batch of first round auditions. It’s scheduled to air on Tuesday night, June 25, 2019 at approximately 7 pm central standard time on NBC.
