‘Ballers’ Spoilers For Season 5, September 8, 2019 Episode 3 Revealed

Hey, “Ballers” fans. We hope you guys enjoyed tonight’s episode 2 of this final season 5. Now that it’s officially all wrapped up, it’s time to let you guys know what you can expect to see in the next,new episode 3.

Thanks to the wonderful HBO people, we do have a few teaser descriptions for episode 3 via their press release. We will reference that in this spoiler session.

To get things started, they revealed that episode 3 is officially entitled, “Copernicursed.” So, that’s a very interesting title. It sounds like episode 3 will feature some interesting and possible intense scenes as Jason gets hit with a counteroffer from Joe.

Vernon tries out for an e-sports company. Reggie gets ticked off about his Sports X position. Ricky resorts to past modes of operation. Charles contemplates a certain solution and more.

We’ll go ahead and start off this spoiler session with the Jason counteroffer situation.It turns out that Spencer will attempt to reach out to Jason with a major job opportunity. However, Jason is going to get a very interesting counteroffer from Joe.

HBO’s official description tells us, “Just as Spencer (Dwayne Johnson) reaches out to him with the job of a lifetime, Jason (Troy Garity) gets an interesting counteroffer from Joe (Rob Corddry).”

What will Joe’s counteroffer consist of? What will Jason ultimately decide to do? Those are some big questions for this particular set of scenarios. We couldn’t track down what this specific offer is, but we are hearing that Joe is about to get sidetracked with a personal situation in episode 4.


So, look out for that. Also, Jason will end up having some tough negotiations with the Anderson brothers in episode 5.


The second spoiler scoop for episode 3 reveals that Vernon will be busy going out for a tryout session at an e-sports company. Meanwhile, Reggie won’t be too happy at his Sports X position. HBO’s description tells us, “Vernon (Donovan W. Carter) has a tryout at an e-sports company and Reggie (London Brown) bemoans his position at Sports X.”

Will Vernon make the cut at his tryouts? Will Reggie stick it out with the Sports X position? Those are some big questions for these particular storylines. We are officially hearing that Sports X will be on the edge of a financial breakdown moving forward.


So, that doesn’t bode well for Reggie and his position. Vernon and Reggie will eventually try to get Joe to invest in a new business venture. So, look for all of that to play out in the near future.

The third spoiler teaser reveals that Ricky will start to digress back to his former ways when he’s confronted with a new ordeal. HBO’s description tells us, “Ricky (John David Washington) turns to old ways to deal with his new situation.”


What old ways will Ricky utilize? How will this approach work for him? Those are the huge questions for this particular plotline. Here’s what we’ve got on Ricky. Apparently, he’s going to be doing a radio show moving forward, and he’s going to get some mixed feedback on it at first.

Eventually, Joe will come on Ricky’s radio show in episode 6. So, look for those few things to happen in Ricky’s ongoing plotline.

Lastly, we’ve got a 4th spoiler scoop for episode 4. It reveals that Charles will have some serious things to think about in this episode. It has to do with a solution that could solve a problem for him. HBO’s description tells us, “Charles (Omar Miller) considers a solution to another headache.”


What is this new headache that’s plaguing Charles? Will this solution remedy the situation? Those are some important questions for this particular storyline.

We’re officially hearing that Charles will try to land a huge player in his upcoming plotlines. Unfortunately, he’s also going to run into a shocking health scare in episode 5. So,look for all that to play out very soon.


Episode 3 was written by Stephen Levinson & Rob Weiss, and it was directed by Chloe Domont. HBO’s press release revealed that episode 3 is indeed scheduled to air next Sunday night, September 8, 2019 at approximately 9:40 pm central standard time.
