In this article, we’re going to talk about a timeline jump that’s going to happen and what’s going to be taking place with Meredith and Andrew Deluca. The first thing that Krista revealed to TV Line is that the new season 16 will pick up right where season 15 left off. It will address all the cliffhangers that season 15 capped off with.

However, before the premiere episode is done, we will see a timeline jump occur. How far ahead in time will the show jump remains to be seen because Krista didn’t want to give up that information.

Here’s what Krista had to say about the season 16 premiere episode. She stated, “It will pick up moments from where we left off in the season 15 finale, and all of the lingering cliffhangers with Meredith, Richard and Alex receiving pink slips, DeLuca wearing prison orange and Jackson vanishing into thin air, thick fog will be addressed pretty immediately. We will then span a little bit of time over the course of the hour.”

When TV Line asked Krista how much of a timeline jump will there be, she said, “I would rather not reveal that.” After that, Krista revealed that there will be some fallouts from the various conflicts that took place in season 15. In particular, she mentioned Meredith and Andrew.
