So, what will NBC air instead of The Blacklist tonight. According to the TV Guide listings, NBC is airing an entertainment awards special called, “GLOBAL CITIZEN PRIZE.”

NBC’s official description for this awards special reads like this, “A celebration of music from some of the world’s leading activists at the iconic Royal Albert Hall. Enjoy music from John Legend, Stomzy, Chris Martin, Sting, and H.E.R.”

Then next Friday night, December 27, 2020, NBC will air a Dolly Parton special called, “DOLLY PARTON’S CHRISTMAS OF MANY COLORS: CIRCLE OF LOVE.”

NBC’s official description for it reads like this, “The sequel to 2015’s “Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors” finds the young Dolly Parton and family facing an unexpected blizzard that threatens the whole clan as they make sacrifices to raise the cash to buy mom a wedding ring that dad could never afford. Parton has a role as the Painted Lady.”

Beyond those two dates, it’s up in the air what NBC will air instead of The Blacklist. You’ll have to check your local listings.

If those two specials sound enticing to you, you might still want to watch NBC for the time being. If not, you will certainly want to start planning out a 3 month schedule that doesn’t include NBC’s Friday night 7 pm central standard time slot.
