‘Young And The Restless’ May 6, 2020 No New Episode. CBS To Re-Air June 2,1990 Episode

Happy Tuesday, “Young And The Restless” fans. We hope you guys are enjoying another week of life so far. We are back at you with another “Young And The Restless” update article. In this one, we’ll be telling you what CBS has in store for tomorrow, May 6, 2020.
As most of you know, the current pandemic crisis has caused a shutdown of filming new soap opera episodes for every soap opera. Not just “The Young And The Restless.”
Unfortunately, the CBS soaps had the shortest production schedule. So, they ran out of new episodes before April 2020 was even over. Now, we’ve been subjected to these repeat episodes, and only God knows how long this madness will continue.
For those of you who are interested, we did go through the trouble of tracking down the “Young And The Restless” repeat episode that CBS will be airing tomorrow, May 6, 2020.
CBS will, once again, take us way,way back in time with this one as they’ll be re-airing the episode that originally aired on Saturday, June 2, 1990.
That’s right, guys. This will be a super classic episode that features Nikki taking center stage. It will also feature some action from Drucilla as she gets in to trouble. Sheila will also be on the scene in this one to cause a distraction for Scott from Lauren.
CBS’ official description for this June 2, 1990 episode reads like this, “Nikki takes center stage at the Colonnade Room. Drucilla (Victoria Rowell) finds herself in trouble, and Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) distracts Scott (Peter Barton) from Lauren (Tracey Bregman).”
If any of you guys have any desire to revisit the past with this repeat/classic episode tomorrow, just be sure to flip on CBS at approximately 11:30 am central standard time. If you don’t want to watch this repeat episode, you will certainly want to make some other arrangements for that particular time.
As for when the “The Young And The Restless” crew might be able to start filming new episodes again, we did manage to track down some extra information on this matter.
The folks over at soapdirt.com revealed that it’s going to be at least another month before a plan is even proposed for them to start filming again!
Apparently, the Governor of California is taking the lockdown production sets very seriously ,and he has no plans to let up anytime soon.
At this point, he’s only allowing for a plan to be proposed, next month, to get Hollywood back to work. Not an actual start date. We’ll have to wait even longer for that.
Soapdirt mentioned that shows in Australia have already gotten back to work filming new episodes. So, they’re a little bit more lenient over there. Is that the right move? Only time will tell. As always, we will definitely keep you updated if any other details pop up in regards to possible new episodes.
Alright guys. That’s all we’ve got for this latest “Young And The Restless” TV show report, but definitely stay tuned for more.
The “Young And The Restless” airs every Monday through Friday at approximately 11:30 am central standard time on CBS. Stay tuned.
