Hey, “The Blacklist” fans. We are back in action with a brand new article for you guys, and we think you’re going to like what we have to tell you. Well, you’ll like some of it. There is some bad news, but it’s pretty light.

We’ll start with the bad news first. It has been confirmed that tonight’s episode 19 will indeed be the finale episode of this current season 7 of The Blacklist. We’re pretty sure that season 7 probably had more episodes scheduled, but they got cut short due to this pesky pandemic mess.

Anyways, that means you guys won’t have any more new episodes of “The Blacklist” to enjoy for quite a while, especially if NBC decides to wait until the midseason to launch season 8 of The Blacklist.

Speaking of season 8, that leads us right into the good news we have for you guys. Yes, we can definitely confirm that NBC did indeed decide to renew The Blacklist for a brand new season 8.

So, you guys will definitely have new episodes of The Blacklist to look forward to later on down the line. We currently don’t know how many episodes season 8 will contain. We’ll find out that important information much, much later on in the year.

According to the folks over TV Line, the Co-Presidents of Scripted Programming at NBC Entertainment Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta had some very nice words for The Blacklist when they made the season 8 renewal announcement.

They stated, “Congratulations to our incredible cast, producers and crew, all of whom continue to reach excellence week in and week out. We couldn’t be more excited to continue Red and Liz’s story into Season 8.”

Before we wrap up this article , we’re going to take a look at why NBC was so excited to renew The Blacklist for a new season 8 by taking a look at season 7’s LIVE ratings and viewership numbers.

The Blacklist season 7 managed to average 4.273 million LIVE viewers per episode and a 0.56 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The last episode 18 ,which aired on May 8, 2020 brought in 4.550 million LIVE viewers and a 0.60 ratings score.

The season 7 LIVE viewership never dipped below 3.574 million LIVE viewers, and it peaked at 5.377 million LIVE viewers during the 11th episode of the season, which aired on March 20, 2020.

The ratings score never dipped below 0.42, and it peaked at 0.76 during episode 11 on March 20, 2020. Those numbers were apparently good enough to make NBC all giddy. So, we’re happy about that.

Again, the new season finale episode 19 of The Blacklist season 7 is scheduled to air tonight, May 15, 2020 at approximately 7 pm central standard time on NBC, of course.

This season’s finale on 5/15/20 was spectacular in its concept…….I wondered how it was going to
play out due to the virus………..it was very creatively written with the characters in comic book mode……………I have watched since the beginning and will continue to watch………Thank you……..
