Hey, “NCIS: New Orleans” fans. Unfortunately, it’s that time again where we have to tell you some very bad news. For some unknown reason, your favorite show is currently on a short break. That means CBS will not be airing the next, new episode 5 of NCIS: New Orleans’ current season 7 tonight, December 20, 2020.

Again, this is a two-week break. So, CBS will not be airing the new episode 5 next Sunday night either. No, no, no. Instead, you guys will have to wait until Sunday night, January 3, 2021 to see the new episode 7.

It’s scheduled to keep its same 9 pm central standard time slot on CBS of course. So, be sure to drive that very important date and time deep, deep down into your memory banks or just write it down. Whichever works best for you.

So, what is CBS airing instead of the next, new episode 5 of NCIS: New Orleans tonight? According to the TV guide listings, CBS will be airing a repeat episode of the original NCIS show tonight. It will be the first episode of the very old season 7 titled, “Truth or Consequences.”

CBS’ official description for it reads like this, “With the weight of the past on their minds, Gibbs and the team go back to work with DiNozzo and McGee beginning a search for Ziva’s replacement.”

Next Sunday night, December 27, 2020, CBS will air another repeat episode of the original NCIS show in the 9 pm central standard time slot. It will be episode 2 of season 11 titled, “Past, Present and Future.”

CBS’ official description for it reads like this, “Determined to find Ziva, Tony follows leads in Israel. Gibbs and the team continue their search for Parsa and his expanding terrorist ring.”

If any of you guys are fans of the original NCIS show and want to check out these very old repeats CBS has lined up, you might still want to flip on CBS during this two-week break.

If not, you will definitely want to make sure you have some other plans lined up, sooner rather than later.

With that said, we were able to hunt down some new info for the next, new episode 5 of NCIS: New Orleans’ current season 7 because CBS did deliver an official press release for it.

We’re going to go over it ,real quick, with you guys. If any of you don’t like reading spoilers, we do highly suggest that you close out this article at this point.

On the other hand, if you totally love reading spoiler scoops, we think you’ll want to stick around for this. So, let’s get started.

First off, we’ve got an official title for episode 5. It’s called, “Operation Drano Part I.”

It sounds like episode 5 will feature some possible interesting, very intense, dramatic and action-filled scenes.

In the new episode 5, the NCIS: New Orleans crew will be investigating a new death scenario. However, something is just not adding up with it. There’s some very important evidence that has gone missing.

This evidence is a super secret, high tech battery. Agent Pride and company will definitely try to do all they can to retrieve this high tech battery because they will find out that it could be very deadly if it gets into the wrong hands.

CBS’ official description for episode 5 reads like this,”As NCIS investigates a suspicious death and the missing key piece of evidence is a top secret, high tech battery, Pride and the team realize there could be deadly consequences if it falls into the wrong hands.”

Episode 5 will not have any guest stars. The season regulars that will be featured in episode 5 are: Scott Bakula as character (NCIS Special Agent Dwayne Cassius Pride), Vanessa Ferlito as character (NCIS Special Agent Tammy Gregorio), Necar Zadegan as character (NCIS Special Agent Hannah Khoury).

Season regulars continued: Rob Kerkovich as character (Forensic Scientist Sebastian Lund), Daryl “Chill” Mitchell as character (Investigative Computer Specialist Patton Plame), CCH Pounder as character (Jefferson Parish Coroner Doctor Loretta Wade), Charles Michael Davis as character (Special Agent Quentin Carter) and Chelsea Field as character (Rita Devereaux).

Episode 5 was written by Chad Gomez Creasey, and it was directed by LeVar Burton.

Again, CBS confirmed that the next, new episode 5 of NCIS: New Orleans’ current season 7 is scheduled to arrive on Sunday night,January 3, 2021 at approximately 8:30 pm central standard time.
