MacGyver Season 5, December 25, 2020 Episode 4 Delayed. Not Airing Tonight

Hey, “MacGyver” fans. First off, Merry Christmas! Speaking of Christmas, that’s exactly why we’re writing this new article that you’re reading. Unfortunately, your favorite show is taking a holiday break. So, CBS will not be airing the next, new episode 4 of MacGyver’s current season 5 tonight, December 25, 2020.

They also won’t be airing it next Friday night, January 1, 2021. We suspect that’s due to the New Year’s Day holiday. Here’s when you guys can expect to see the new episode 4. We’ve gotten word from the CBS folks that episode 4 is currently scheduled to air on Friday night,January 8, 2021 in its same 7 pm central standard time slot.

So, be sure to commit that very important date to memory or write it down on your TV show calendars if you have a TV show calendar.

Alright, let’s get into what exactly is CBS airing instead of the next, new episode 4 of MacGyver season 5 tonight. According to the TV Guide listings, CBS will be airing repeat episodes of MacGyver during this two-week break.

Tonight, they will re-air episode 1 of last season 4 titled, “Fire + Ashes + Legacy = Phoenix.” CBS’ official description it reads like this, “Ex-MI6 agent Russ Taylor recruits former Phoenix Foundation members Mac, Riley, Bozer, Matty and Desi to hunt down a bioweapon that’s planned to be used by a mysterious organization for a devastating attack on a major US city.”

Then, next Friday night,January 1, 2021, CBS is going to re-air MacGyver’s episode 7 of last season 4 titled, “Mac + Desi + Riley + Aubrey.”

CBS’ official description for it reads like this, “A double date descends into chaos when Mac and Desi witness a murder in the back of the restaurant. As they work to find the killer, Riley tries to keep the secret about her and her friends’ day jobs from her new boyfriend.”

If any of you guys are interested in watching a couple of MacGyver reruns over these next , two weeks, you might still want to turn on CBS as you normally would during that time.

If you definitely don’t want to watch these MacGyver repeat episodes, you will certainly want to make some other arrangements right now.

With that said, we were able to track down some new information for the next, new episode 4 of MacGyver’s current season 5. ABC served up an official press release for it. So, we’re going to reveal it’s contents.

Before we do, we have to warn you that this press release does contain light spoiler teasers. So, if you don’t want to see any spoilers, we highly suggest that you make this your stopping point in this article.

Ok, now that all the spoiler haters have been warned, let’s do this. First thing’s first. Episode 4 has been officially titled, “”Banh Bao + Sterno + Drill + Burner + Mason.”

It’s sounds like episode 4 will feature some very intense, dramatic, action-filled, suspenseful and interesting scenes.

In the new episode 7, MacGyver and Desi will be scheduled to meet up with Desi’s parents, but that appointment is going to get totally derailed when some more serious trouble sprouts up! Apparently, Desi’s brother will be in major trouble and in need of immediate help!

Elsewhere, Russ and Matty’s new recruitment candidate will end up getting kidnapped. In light of this terrible development, Russ and Matty will be forced to ask an old nemesis of theirs for help in the matter.

CBS’ official description for episode 4 reads like this, “Mac’s meeting with Desi’s parents goes sideways when her brother finds himself in trouble and desperately needs their help. Also, Russ and Matty must ask an old nemesis for assistance when their new recruitment candidate is kidnapped.”

Episode 4 will feature a couple of guest stars. They are: Peter Weller as character (Mason), Ben Wang as character (Eli Brown), Corey Jung as character (Little Eli), Dollar Tan as character (Eli’s Father), Gloria Tsai as character (Eli’s Mother), Paul Yen as character (Jason), Michael Paul Chan as character (Dahn), Page Leong as character (Mimi), Bill Smitrovich as character (Joshua) and Grace Thomas as character (Recruiter).

The season regulars that will be featured in episode 4 are: Lucas Till as character (Angus “Mac” MacGyver), Tristin Mays as character (Riley Davis), Justin Hires as character (Wilt Bozer), Meredith Eaton as character (Matty Weber), Levy Tran as character (Desi Nguyen) and Henry Ian Cusick as character (Russ Taylor).

Episode 4 was written by Justin Lisson and Sophia Lopez, and it was directed by Peter Weller.

Again, CBS confirmed that the next, new episode 7 of Macgyver’s current season 5 is scheduled to air on Friday night, January 8, 2020 at approximately 7 pm central standard time.
