Chicago Med Season 6, May 26, 2021 Episode 16 Is The Finale. Season 7 Is Happening
Hey, “Chicago Med” fans. We hope you guys totally enjoyed episode 16 tonight, especially since it’s the last episode of this current season 6 of Chicago Med. That’s right, guys. Episode 16 is indeed the finale episode for Chicago Med’s current season 6. We suspect that season 6 was made much shorter due to all of the filming issues the horrible pandemic caused last year and into this year.
But, here’s some good news for you guys. We can officially tell you that NBC did indeed renew Chicago Med for a brand new season 7! That’s right, guys. You can expect to get hit with another new onslaught of Chicago Med episodes for the upcoming 2021/2022 season.
Actually, the renewal of season 7 came way early. NBC actually renewed it last year when they gave the series a 3-season renewal deal in February 2020. That means Chicago Med is also renewed for season 8. So, there you go. You also don’t even have to worry about season 8.
Currently, it’s not yet known how many episodes season 7 will feature. We’re guessing it will premiere in the Fall 2021. We’ll definitely have to wait until later on this summer to get some more info from NBC. Hopefully, things are back to normal enough on set to allow for the cast to film a full, 22 episode season again.
Chicago Med season 6 averaged 7.304 million LIVE viewers per episode and a 0.93 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 15, which aired last Wednesday night, May 19, 2021, drew in 6.622 million LIVE viewers and a 0.79 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was episode 2 with a 7.871 ratings score. The least-viewed episode was episode 15 with 6.622 million LIVE viewers.
The highest-rated episode was episode 1 with a 1.17 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 9 with a 0.77 ratings score.
