Riverdale Season 6, June 5, 2022 Episode 17 Delayed. Not Airing Tonight
Hey, “Riverdale” fans. If you tuned in to the CW tonight, June 5, 2022 to catch the next, new episode 17 of Riverdale’s current season 6, we’re quite sure that most of you were disappointed as all hell to realize that it wasn’t friggin on. Yep, unfortunately, The CW decided not to air it, tonight.
The good news is that this particular delay was just for this week. The CW has informed us that they do plan to air the new episode 17 next Sunday night, June 12,2022 in its usual, 7 pm central standard time slot. So, certainly be sure to remember that very important date and time.
So what did The CW air instead of your favorite Riverdale show tonight. According to the TV guide listings, The CW provided LIVE coverage of the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards, which is quite strange because I always thought those only aired on MTV, but apparently, The CW has jumped into the mix somehow.
Anyways, The CW’s official description for the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards reads like this,”Vanessa Hudgens hosts with exclusive clips, superstar appearances and unforgettable awards from Los Angeles.”
Spoiler Warning: For those of you who are interested, The CW folks were kind enough to serve up some new, official teaser descriptions for the next, new episode 17 of Riverdale’s current season 6 via an official press release.
The first thing it revealed is that this new episode 17 does have an official title. It’s called, “Chapter One Hundred and Twelve: American Psychos.” It sounds like episode 17 will feature some very interesting, intense, dramatic, emotional, possible action-filled and suspenseful scenes.
The CW’s official description for episode 17 reads like this, “In order to catch the Trash Bag Killer once and for all, Betty (Lili Reinhart) devises a plan to hold a serial killer convention in Riverdale. Elsewhere, Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) receives some news about Toni (Vanessa Morgan) and Fangs (Drew Ray Tanner) that sends her spiraling, while Archie (KJ Apa) and Tabitha (Erinn Westbrook) try to loosen the grip Percival (guest star Chris O’Shea) has over his workers.”
An alternate description tells us,”THE CAST PERFORM MUSICAL NUMBERS FROM AMERICAN PSYCHO THE MUSICAL.” Episode 17 also features Camila Mendes as character Veronica Lodge, Mädchen Amick as character Alice Cooper and Casey Cott as character Kevin Keller.
Episode 17 was directed by Gabriel Correa, and it was written by Tessa Leigh Williams & Greg Murray.
Again, The CW confirmed that the next,new episode 17 of Riverdale’s current season 6 is scheduled to finally hit the air next Sunday night, June 12, 2022 at approximately 7 pm central standard time.
