General Hospital June 28, 2022 Episode Got Delayed, Preempted
Hey, “General Hospital” fans. Unfortunately, it was one of those days again. If you tuned in to watch the newest episode of General Hospital today, June 28, 2022, most of you were probably very disappointed to see that it was indeed MIA (Missing In Action).
That’s because ,apparently, these January 6,2021, Assault On The Capital Hearings are still taking place, involving former president of the United States Donald Trump, and ABC decided to give it more LIVE coverage today at General Hospital’s expense.
All the major networks: ABC,CBS and NBC got in on the action. So, there were a lot of unhappy soap opera fans today. We did hit up the official General Hospital Twitter page to get some more info about today’s delayed/preempted episode, and they did serve up a new post to let us know that the plan is for ABC to air today’s preempted episode tomorrow, Wednesday, June 29, 2022 in its usual, 1 pm central standard time slot.
They wrote,”Due to ongoing breaking news coverage, today’s scheduled episode of General Hospital will air tomorrow. #GH.” You guys can view that post on General Hospital’s official Twitter account by Clicking Here.
As usual, some more upset fans hopped on Twitter to reply to this post. Needless to say, they were quite upset. Dina Buonocore@DinaBuonocore wrote,”This is getting old! Put the hearings on the news channels. If people want to watch they can find it there.” Twitter Link.
Lady pink 421@421_taurus is afraid this same thing might happen this Thursday. She wrote, “Omg when is this gonna be over put it on CNN . Bet Thursday gonna be the same thing .dragging out the SL more than the writers. Uugghhh” Twitter Link.
TheOriginalJnJ@CD92033162 wrote, “The worst part of this whole preemption (other than not seeing GH) is my DVR trying figure out when to record. Yesterday didn’t record because of last Tuesday’s preemption. Neither did the 15,000th episode.” Twitter Link.
Again, today’s delayed/preempted episode of General Hospital is currently scheduled to air tomorrow, Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at approximately 1 pm central standard time on ABC if it doesn’t get preempted again.

Seriously, there’s probably just one full month’s worth of GH that actually gets aired in a year due to these preempted issues. It is not necessary to show these hearings 24/7. They will be recapped during the nightly news and are all over email, social media, etc. Stop taking away the one bit of 37 minutes worth of happiness soap fans have left in their lives!!!! ?
