New Wednesday Season 2 Possible Spoilers Revealed By Its Creators
Hey, Netflix “Wednesday” fans. We were able to track down some new, possible season 2 spoilery info for you guys. We say possible because from what we’re hearing, Netflix hasn’t officially given Wednesday the season 2 greenlight yet. However, it’s widely believed they will given the major success that the show had during its first season run on Netflix.
With that said, the folks over at The Hollywood Report got to talk with Wednesday’s creators Al Gough and Miles Millar. During this interview, The Hollywood Reporter asked them what fans can expect to see from a new season 2 if Netflix decides to renew it.
Al Gough decided to talk about what season 2 might look like. He didn’t give away any definite spoilers. Rather, he just talked about what he would like to explore further in season 2. He said he wants to sort of explore and complicate the existing relationships that involve Wednesday, Xavier, Enid and Bianca.
Al stated, “We wanna sort of explore and sort of complicate all of those relationships with Wednesday, Xavier, Enid and Biana going forward. The school was closed when they left, which gave us the most possibilities for season two, and I think that’s something that we’re excited to explore.”
Next, Al revealed tat he really wants to further explore the Wednesday and Enid friendship ,in particular, stating, “For us, the show also is really about this female friendship with Wednesday and Enid really being at the center of that. The fact that they really connected with audiences, it has been really gratifying. So, we’re excited to explore what things will look like for Wednesday now that she’s dipped her toe into the friendship pool.”
Lastly, Al talked about how he wants to further explore the Wednesday-Morticia, mother-daughter relationship and see how it will evolve. He stated,”The other thing that’s really interesting is to continue to explore the Wednesday-Morticia mother-daughter relationship as well, which now that Morticia knows about the power, it has given her sort of an idea of how that’s going to go. How is their relationship going to evolve?”
After all of that, Al and Miles told The Hollywood Reporter that they would actually like to try and keep this Wednesday series going on for as long as they possibly can stating, “The beauty of television is you could go on for many seasons, which we’ve done before. What’s also fun is the more you go, the world and the stories kind of reveal themselves.
So, it’s actually something that we enjoy doing, and you also have that special relationship with an audience when they’re invested in these characters over a period of years. So, we’d like Wednesday to go on for as long as it can.”
Again, Netflix hasn’t officially renewed Wednesday for a new season 2 as of yet, but it’s highly believed that they will. So, definitely stay tuned as we’ll certainly let you guys know what Netflix’s announcement for the future of this show is when they finally reveal it.
