New 60 Minutes February 19, 2023 Episode Preview Revealed
Hey, “60 Minutes” fans. We are happy to inform you that the folks over at CBS will be serving up another brand new episode of 60 Minutes tonight, February 19, 2023. That’s right, guys. Tonight’s new episode will be the 22nd episode of 60 Minutes’ current season 55.
We were able to track down an official description for tonight’s new February 19, 2023 episode from the good ole CBS folks by way of their official , February 19, 2023 episode press release. So, we’re going to dive into it to deliver this preview session. Let’s get into it.
The first description reveals that the 60 Minutes team will present a segment titled, “CANDLES AGAINST THE DARKNESS.” In this segment,they will talk about how Russia has attacked Ukraine’s energy grid for the 14th time. These attacks have taken out Ukraine citizen’s light, heat and water! It’s caused blackouts across the country. American journalist Scott Pelley will report on how the Ukraine people are surviving during this terrible time.
CBS’ official description for this Ukraine and Russia war segment tells us, “Last week, Russia launched its 14th attack on Ukraine’s energy grid. Scott Pelley reports from Ukraine on how the population is surviving these assaults and living without light, heat and water. As the war touches every Ukrainian home with blackouts across the country, its people remain resilient, defiant and united. Maria Gavrilovic is the producer.”
The second description is titled, “PRIME MINISTER MARIN.”During this segment, American journalist will profile the prime minister of Finland Sanna Marin because Finland has recently applied for NATO membership to end seven decades of Finnish military neutrality a result of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
CBS’ description for this Finland Prime Minister segment reads like this, “Following the invasion of Ukraine, Finland, which shares a border with Russia, announced it would apply for NATO membership – ending seven decades of Finnish military neutrality.
Sharyn Alfonsi profiles the prime minister of Finland, Sanna Marin, who called for her country to join the alliance, at the prime minister’s official residence in Helsinki. Michael Rey is the producer.”
The 3rd and last description for tonight’s February 19, 2023 episode is titled, “THE HISTORYMAKERS.” In this segment, American television journalist and correspondent Bill Whitaker is going to report on an organization that is trying to prevent achievements of historically significant African Americans from going unpreserved for future generations by creating a large digital archive that features first-person accounts of the African American experience.
CBS’ description for this Historymakers segment reads like this, “The achievements of historically significant Black Americans are at risk of going unpreserved as important figures die without documenting their stories for future generations. Bill Whitaker explores how one organization is trying to prevent that by creating an expansive digital archive of first-person accounts of the Black experience. Marc Lieberman is the producer.”
Again, CBS’confirmed that tonight’s February 19, 2023 episode is brand new, and that it’s scheduled to hit the air at approximately 6 pm central standard time.
