New 60 Minutes March 19, 2023 Episode Preview Revealed
Hey, “60 Minutes” fans. We are back with another new preview session for you guys because The CBS people have another new episode of 60 Minutes that they’re dropping tonight, March 19, 2023. That’s right, guys. CBS is going to take care of you, once again, tonight with the next, new episode 26 of 60 Minute’s current season 55.
We were able to dig up an official description for tonight’s new, March 19, 2023 edition from CBS’ official press release for it. So, we’re going to certainly use it for this preview session. Let’s go.
First thing’s first. The official title for tonight’s new episode is called, “The State of the Navy; Only in America.” In tonight’s new episode, the 60 minutes team is going to do a segment titled, “THE STATE OF THE NAVY.” In it, American journalist Norah O’Donnell is going to go aboard the USS Nimitz Navy aircraft carrier to report about how the Navy is handling threats of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan who is an important ally of America.
Norah is going to conduct interviews with the commander of the USA Pacific fleet Admiral Samuel Paparo and chief of Naval operations Admiral Mike Gilday. They’re going to talk about how the USA is trying to maintain readiness and keep up with China’s quick naval and military build-up.
CBS’ official description for this “The State Of The Navy” segment reads like this, “As U.S.-China relations remain tense, Norah O’Donnell goes aboard the USS Nimitz, a United States Navy aircraft carrier operating southeast of Taiwan and China in the Western Pacific.
With rare access to the ship and its officers during a deployment, O’Donnell reports on the state of the Navy amid threats of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan – an important American ally. O’Donnell speaks with the commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet, Admiral Samuel Paparo, at sea and chief of naval operations, Admiral Mike Gilday, at the Pentagon.
The report includes a candid discussion of U.S. contingency planning for Taiwan and how the U.S. is attempting to maintain readiness while keeping up with China’s rapid and remarkable naval and military build-up. This is a double-length segment. Keith Sharman and Roxanne Feitel are the producers.”
The second and last description for tonight’s new, March 19, 2023 episode lets us know the 60 minutes team will do another segment titled, “ONLY IN AMERICA.” American journalist Sharyn Alfonsi is going to talk with a billionaire businessman named Rocco Commisso. They’re going to talk about his humble beginnings in Italy to running a cable TV empire and buying a pro soccer team.
CBS’ description for this “Only In America” segment reads like this, “Sharyn Alfonsi profiles billionaire businessman Rocco Commisso, who went from a town in southern Italy to growing up in the Bronx to running an ultra-successful cable TV empire and ultimately buying a pro soccer team. Alfonsi meets Commisso in the Bronx and follows his American dream that takes them all the way to an AC Fiorentina game in Florence, Italy. Guy Campanile is the producer.”
CBS’ press release confirmed that 60 Minutes will be new again tonight, March 19,2023, and it will hit the air at approximately 6 pm central standard time.
