New 48 Hours November 30 Episode Preview Reveals Suspicious Fire Death And More
Hey, “48 Hours” fans. We’re back in your faces to let you know some very good news. After delaying 48 Hours last week, CBS will get back to serving up a new episode of 48 Hours tonight, November 30, 2024. Tonight’s new episode will be the 10th one for this current season 37, and we’ve got some new preview information for it.
The CBS people put out an official press release for this new episode 10. So, we will certainly refer to it for this preview session. Let’s get into it.
For starters, we have an official title for this new episode 10. It’s called, “The Firefighter’s Secret.” In tonight’s new episode 10, the 48 Hours team is going to take a deep look at a story about a Mt. Morris, Illinois woman named Melissa Lamesch.
Way back in 2020, she was found dead inside of her house that was set on fire. The investigators who worked this case, were not sure if the fire killed her. Upon further investigation, they eventually became very sure that the fire didn’t kill her, and a much more sinister set of events took place. 48 Hours contributor Nikki Battiste handled the reporting duties for this episode and case.
CBS’ official description for tonight’s new episode 10 of 48 Hours season 37 reads like this,”On Thanksgiving Eve in 2020, a horrifying scene unfolded in Mt. Morris, Ill. The home of 27-year-old Melissa Lamesch was engulfed in flames. Inside, firefighters discovered Lamesch’s lifeless body on the kitchen floor. Initially, it was not clear if the fire killed her, and the investigation would uncover secrets.
48 HOURS and contributor Nikki Battiste report on Lamesch’s tragic death and the revelations that followed in “The Firefighter’s Secret.”
Lamesch was a devoted EMT and was looking forward to becoming a mother. She had been in a casual relationship with Matthew Plote, a firefighter, who was trained to save lives. But could he have set the fire to hide a murder? In the episode, lead investigator Brian Ketter of the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office recalls the early uncertainty. “We couldn’t tell if it was intentional or accidental. We didn’t know what happened to her.”
An alternate description tells us, “A YOUNG WOMAN IS FOUND DEAD IN HER BURNING HOME – WAS A KILLER TRYING TO COVER HIS TRACKS?”
Again, CBS’ press release confirmed that the next, new episode 10 of 48 Hours’ current season 37 is indeed scheduled to make its way to the air tonight, November 30, 2024 in the 9 pm central standard time slot. It will also be available for streaming on Paramount+. It will be a 1-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 10 pm central standard time.
