Knight Of Seven Kingdoms New Season 2 Is Happening. HBO Renewed It
HBO aired the 6th episode of A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms’ current, premiere season 1 tonight, February 22, 2206, and it was indeed the finale episode. So, that leaves us with the question of will there be a new season 2, and it has been answered.
According to a recent report from Deadline.com , HBO did serve up a new season 2 renewal for the show back in November of 2025. So, they had no doubts about renewing the show. It actually happened before season 1 even premiered.
Deadline went on to say that the new season 2 is scheduled to make its debut at some point in 2027. Casey Bloys, who is the Chairman and CEO of HBO and HBO Max Content was the one who made the official season 2 announcement.
HBO head of drama Francesca Orsi made very positive statements about the renewals of both A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and House Of The Dragon stating, “We are thrilled to be able to deliver new seasons of these two series for the next three years, for the legion of fans of the Game of Thrones universe.
Together, House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms reveal just how expansive and richly imagined George R. R. Martin’s universe continues to be. In January, I think audiences will be delighted by the inspiring underdog tale of Dunk and Egg that George and Ira Parker have captured so beautifully. And this summer, House of the Dragon is set to ignite once again with some of its most epic battles yet.”
Currently, there are no details about how many new episodes that season 2 will feature, but we certainly hope it’s more than six. At least 8.
