Dancing With The Stars September 15 Eliminated Conner Leavitt & Adele Zaikman (Recap)

Earlier tonight, September 15, 2026, ABC aired the very first, LIVE premiere episode 1 of Dancing With The Stars’ new season 35, and the first unlucky couple did get eliminated at the end of it.

The judges for this season are: Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough. Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough returned to do the co-hosting duties. In tonight’s episode, they said the celebrity roster is so big this season that they had to split the premiere up into two episodes with the male celebrities performing tonight, and the females performing tomorrow night, September 16.

So, to kick off tonight’s performances, Jackson Olson and Emma Slater served up a cha cha to “Wannabe” by the Spice Girls. Afterwards, Carrie Ann them a 5 score, Derek 5, Bruno 5 for a total of 15 points out of a possible 30 points.

Tyler Cameron and Sharna Burgess danced a tango routine to “Are You Gonna Go My Way” by Lenny Kravitz. Afterwards, Carrie Ann gave them a 6 score, Derek a 5, Bruno a 6 for a total of 17 points.

Conner Leavitt and Adele Zaikman performed a salsa number to “Whoomp! There It Is” by Tag Team. Afterwards, Carrie Ann gave them a 4 score, Derek a 4, Bruno a 4 for a total of 12 points.

Guillermo Rodriguez and Witney Carson danced a cha cha routine to “Mr. Big Stuff” by Jean Knight. Afterwards, Carrie Ann gave them a 4 score, Derek a 3, Bruno a 3 for a total of 10 points.

Daniella Karagach and Ezra Frech rocked a tango number to “Since U Been Gone” by Kelly Clarkson. Afterwards, Carrie Ann gave them 7 score, Derek a 6, Bruno a 7 for a total of 20 points.

Connor Wood and Rylee Arnold served up a country-western infused cha cha routine to “I Like It, I Love It” by Tim McGraw. Afterwards, Carrie Ann gave them a 6 score, Derek a 5, Bruno a 5 for a total of 16 points.

Taylor Hanson and Britt Stewart did a quickstep number to “Tell Her About It” by Billy Joel. Afterwards, Carrie Ann gave them a 6 score, Derek a 5, Bruno a 5 for a total of 16 points.

To cap off tonight’s LIVE performances, Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson danced a cha cha to “Let’s Groove” by Earth, Wind & Fire. Afterwards, Carrie Ann gave them a 7 score, Derek a 7, Bruno a 7 for a total of 21 points.

After all of that, Julianne and Alfonso revealed that all the couples were safe tonight except for Conner Leavitt and his pro dance partner Adele Zaikman. They sadly did not get enough votes to advance and were eliminated.
