The Amazing Race September 29 To Air A New, Special 25 Year Celebration Episode
According to TV Guide, the folks over at CBS are officially scheduled to air a new, special edition episode of The Amazing Race tonight, September 29, 2026, just ahead of its brand new season 39 premiere episode, which is scheduled to debut tomorrow night, September 30.
Tonight’s new, special episode is not going to show any new racing events. Instead, it will feature a celebration of its 25 years of being on the air. It’s officially titled, “The Amazing Race: 25 Years Around the World.”
CBS’ official press release information for this episode is telling us that this episode will feature a look back at some of the most memorable moments in the show’s history. Some of these moments will include the ET Vault and some never-before-seen footage. So, that could certainly be interesting.
We’re also being told that some brand new interviews will be shown at some point. Lastly, CBS is telling us that this special episode will feature a behind-the-scenes look at the challenges, the destinations and the contestants that have defined this series.
Again, TV Guide has confirmed that CBS will be airing this new, special, The Amazing Race, 25 year celebration episode tonight, September 29, 2026, starting in the 7 pm central standard time slot. It will be a 1-hour event. So, expect it to conclude at 8 pm central standard time.
