60 Minutes June 9, 2024 Repeat Episodes Preview Revealed

Hey, “60 Minutes” fans. We’re back in your faces with another 60 Minutes preview session. As we previously reported, CBS is only dishing up repeat segments in these episodes all summer along until the new season arrives in the fall sometime.

Some of you guys might not have seen the repeat segments that will be shown in tonight’s June 9, 2024 episodes. So, you might still want to tune in for these. Just like last week, CBS is serving up two repeat episodes tonight.

CBS put out an official press release for these repeat episodes/segments. So, we’re going to run those by you right now. Tonight’s first episode will feature 3 segments that have aired in the past at some point.

The first repeat segment is titled, “RAN’S ASSASSINS.” CBS’official description for it reads like this, “While Iran’s backing of Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon is widely known, the regime is quietly carrying out a shadow war in the U.S. and Europe, deploying proxy assassins to silence or eliminate critics of the regime.

Britain’s head of counter-terrorism policing, Matt Jukes, tells correspondent Lesley Stahl they’re noticing a significant uptick in Iran’s efforts. In the U.S., Stahl meets some of the targets, including former White House national security adviser John Bolton and Iranian American activist Masih Alinejad.”

The second repeat segment is titled, “RED AND GREEN.” CBS’ official description for it reads like this, “Correspondent Bill Whitaker reports from the conservative state of Wyoming and meets with its surprisingly climate-crusading Republican governor, Mark Gordon.

Currently in his second term, Gordon has set a goal to make Wyoming not just carbon-neutral but carbon-negative in CO2 emissions. It’s an audacious idea, since Wyoming is the nation’s largest coal producer by far. Despite taking heat from climate change deniers in his own party, Gordon tells Whitaker he’s sticking to his goal, and to his “all of the above” approach to energy.”

The 3rd and final repeat segment for this first episode is titled, “PINK.” CBS’ official description for it reads like this, “Cecilia Vega profiles international punk rock/pop princess Alecia Moore – also known as Pink – as she celebrates 25 years of her successful music-making career. Vega meets Pink at her home in California, stops backstage on her tour and traces her somewhat troubled journey to superstardom.”

The second episode is going to feature a total of two repeat segments. The first one is titled, “AN AMERICAN IN CHINA.” CBS’ description for it reads like this, “Correspondent Lesley Stahl reports from China as one of the few Western journalists to enter the People’s Republic since 2020, when the Chinese government under the direction of President Xi Jinping expelled some journalists and restricted access to others in the foreign media.

Stahl interviews U.S. ambassador to China Nicholas Burns on the contentious U.S.-China relationship, American and foreign investment in the wake of expanded espionage laws and intellectual property theft under Xi and the state of China’s floundering economy as its population ages and shrinks. Stahl also reports on the mood of the country after its oppressive zero-COVID policy.”

The second and last repeat segment for this second episode is titled, “A QUIET INVASION.” CBS’ description for it reads like this, “Days after Russia invaded Ukraine, the country of Georgia applied for membership to the European Union, fearing that it could become Vladimir Putin’s next target.

Correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi meets with Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili in Tbilisi to discuss that E-U bid, the presence of Russian troops inside Georgia’s borders, the recent influx of Russian residents and Kremlin influenced politics and propaganda, signaling a quiet invasion that she says is threatening the future of her country.”

Again, CBS confirmed that 60 Minutes is showing up again tonight, June 9, 2024 with another set of two repeat episodes. They’re scheduled to start at approximately 6 pm central standard time.
