Reacher New Season 5 Is Happening. Prime Video Renewed It
Today, September 16, 2026, Prime Video released the next, new episode 8 of Reacher’s current season 4 onto their streaming platform, and it was the season finale episode. So, we did go looking to see if it got renewed for a brand new season 5.
According to the people over at Radio Times and a couple of other sources, Prime Video did give it a new season 5 renewal order. So, you guys can expect to see another new set of episodes to get unleashed at some point in the future.
They’re telling us that the season 5 renewal announcement actually took place back in May 2026 before season 4 even got released. So, it turns out that Prime Video was quite confident in how the show would perform for them.
Radio Times went on to mention that the new season 5 will reportedly be based on the events that took place in Lee Child’s 20th Reacher book titled, “Make Me.” In that book, Reacher winds up in a mysterious town called, “Mother’s Rest,” and he eventually stumbles upon a very dangerous and deadly criminal conspiracy.
Peter Friedlander who is the head of global television for Amazon MGM Studios had some very nice words to say about the show during the renewal announcement, calling it a true powerhouse franchise and that the high action and compelling storylines really resonate with many millions of their viewers.
Currently, no release date or episode count for the new season 5 was mentioned. So, we’ll have to wait around a bit to get that very important information.
Again, Prime Video did early renew Reacher for a brand new season 5 back in May 2026, and we’re still waiting for the release date and episode count details.
